Surely it would make more sense (and more effort) to have the outside world all covered in his color and the eye-to-phone passage dark. Either way his stencilling is sub par.

Disagree on it being switched. The distraction is not from the outside world but from the human race being sucked into thier phones with just random crap. His tags represent the shit we allow ourselves to connect with on a daily basis.

Best strategy is to not tell everyone on a public forum how to get a competitive advantage. You are all each other’s competition at the end of the day.

I don’t disagree that the HF is worth £700 but it’s just a large gap between the two. £405 (extra than main edition) for a several minutes of hand finishing seems a lot. The value of an artists time certainly is up for debate but we’re looking at somewhere between £800-1600 an hour on these assuming he spent 15-30 mins on each.
There was a Kunstrasen HF print recently that comes to mind, believe it was $295 for main ed and $395 for HF. That seems appropriate. The majority of the cost is for the print itself, and add on a little extra for the time and attention from the artist.

His tags represent thes**t we allow ourselves to connect with on a daily basis. i understand the message in the print.... the issue (as you stated) is that the tags are the shit part. coming from a graffiti artist who's tags are his signature style.... it kinda goes against the whole graffiti art proposition. the message inherently says that the graffiti and tags are the soul sucking part and not the other way around. |
