He listed the prints FS, and said to "get in touch" for more info. Others have chimed in saying the seller responds quickly. What's the prob? If he or she doesn't want prices listed, that's their prerogative; it's their FS thread

If he or she doesn't want prices listed, that's their prerogative; it's their For Sale thread I have no issue to be honest. What I don't understand is why sell this way? It is always nice to see pictures of art, this is supposed to be a discussion forum. I make most of my art buying decisions based on pictures in the for sale thread, also I frame a large portion of my collection based around what others have done and what pictures they have posted. Silent auctions and discussions seem to be against the ethos of a forum no?
Anyways good luck to the seller and hope your good.

Silent auctions and discussions seem to be against the ethos of a forum no? Anyways good luck to the seller and hope your good. While I do understand what you are saying, I think many people would be willing to shoot over a PM and ask for photos if the listing is for a piece of art they have been after for a while. I personally would not just stop at the listing if it lacked photos. I would send over a PM and hope to receive photos and answers to my questions, hopefully resulting in a successful transaction.
I think some people are fearful of listing prices because no matter what the price listed might be, there will be people out there with negative comments, and potentially derail the entire thread, spiraling it into a discussion about the art/artist/value as opposed to just a simple For Sale thread.
As for the photos/framing, I too base much of my framing decisions on others' framed photos which is why I tend to head over to the "framed photos" thread for whichever artist/print I am looking for inspiration on (Assuming that "framed photos" thread exists for that artist).
Regardless, you are correct that this is a discussion forum, and all are welcome to their opinions. This is just my 2 cents. Good luck to all who are communicating with OP. Some real gems listed here

Pejac print for sale, by Flashback on Apr 4, 2018 14:59:08 GMT 1, He might be ok with it (or not) but until you know for sure, it's always best to err on the side of caution:) why caution? What possible repercussions could occur by posting a price quoted to you? Just asking, not arguing. Mostly already nicely covered by a few others.
There's just far too many tirekickers and people that have no interest in buying, that choose to derail sales with their opinions to make it worthwhile listing all the information as it will inevitably end up in a tangent.
If people are actually interested in buying then they will PM.
As for repercussions, one example could be the OP choosing not to sell to the person who put their private details (prices in this case) on the open forum when they conveyed that they wanted it done via PM, as they had chosen to not court public opinion on their sale in the first place.
Just supposition on my part but at the very least it's common courtesy to adhere to what the OP has asked.

Pejac print for sale, by Zanda on Apr 4, 2018 15:08:45 GMT 1, This is actually true, so I can see the reluctance these days to post a price. I tried to sell my Linea, because I was in a bit of a desperate way at the time, and I asked for ยฃ700. Which was a bit more than some had sold for, but also less than other sellers were asking. What followed were 15 pages of price discussion including graphs and other things. I can take it, but fortunately for me it was enough to put me off the sale and I manage to raise much needed funds by other means.

Because especially this thread lacks so much important information. Also thereโs a lot of spelling errors and when you are not able to even spell the name of the print you are offering, my red lamps go off. When dealing with items in this price range you should expect more in my opinion.
Eg: I donโt buy a Porsche from a seller that doesnโt know how to write or even know the model name of the car.
Even if I had been after a Pejac for myself now, I would not have bought this one from this seller. My friend will have to wait for another coming along.
