Banksy Pulp Fiction Print, by tobyuk on Oct 23, 2008 14:50:51 GMT 1, You're a hard bunch ain't ya! Yes, there is a tiny mark on the bottom right hand edge, which would not be noticeable when the print was framed.
For all the negative (okay they're only minor!!) remarks about my PF print, I have enjoyed finded this forum and have recently started my print collection with a couple of Cept prints, there's some cracking stuff out there I never knew about, so cheers!

Banksy Pulp Fiction Print, by craigf on Oct 23, 2008 17:04:58 GMT 1, Normally hard, but fair, although sometimes things do escalate into little bun fights
Get the PF in a folder and I am sure it will flatten out nicely (don't just stick it in, find somewhere safe to let it slowly relax over a few weeks and then put it in a sleeve). If you don't have a folder you can put it in mine and I'll look after it for you ;D
Also get the Cept's out of the tube and on the wall asap!

Banksy Pulp Fiction Print, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 23, 2008 17:13:33 GMT 1, Welcome. Yeah, any print that you can fit into a folder or between some CLEAN sheets of board of some kind and paper and out of the way, should be removed from the tube ASAP and stored flat. The only good solution for a piece which is too large to store flat, is to frame it asap. A professional framer should be able to flatten out a tubed print fine, but don't be in a rush to get it back immediately.
Good luck with the PF sale anyway. You may get many more offers if you state in detail the condition and try to include photos of all visible imperfections. Full disclosure's certainly the best way to avoid having an unhappy customer after the fact and breeds confidence too.

Banksy Pulp Fiction Print, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 24, 2008 0:47:27 GMT 1, Yes it is a little, even if it were mint that would be about right for this moment in time imo (£1500-£2000). However a damaged print is probably a bit less, dependant. So you should also be making very clear exactly how sub-perfect the condition of the print is, because presumably you didn't have the damaged edge in mind when showing the bottom right hand corner! How much more of that is there? Also how long exactly has it been in that tube again? My guess is that if you let it flatten out properly, someone might pay around £500 less than you mentioned, IF there's no other damage. Just my own opinion, others may feel differently of course. I believe the last one on Ebay went for around £1900 and I remember Jboy buying one a couple of months back for £1500 (I have a feeling he's sold it on since then for a similar price too).
Good luck anway, it's a great print. I've never been totally sure about how much of a message there is in it, but I'm a huge fan of the movie and the image has always brought a smile to my face.

Sorry Ronhill, not sure I'm with you. I said, I reckoned £1500-£2000 is what it might go for in mint condition (why, is that wrong?). But this isn't mint, so a bit less. There are indentations along the bottom edge (looks like more than just those in the corner, if you cast your eye along that edge to the left also) and something was said about a small mark on it as well.
Having said that there aren't so many of these on offer, so I suppose with a bit of lucky timing he could still end up with £1500.
Maybe my knocking a monkey off was a bit OTT

Some forum purists get turned off when a person's first post is to try and sell something. Second people don't like when a person tries selling something on here and than they take a picture of the piece and it doesn't accurately represent the item they are selling, and finally many members of the forum work for CSI and will notice the color of your carpet , dings in a photo and bevelled edges on paper.

Banksy Pulp Fiction Print, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 24, 2008 3:05:44 GMT 1, just asking if you think its worth £1500
What I think it's worth to me? I wouldn't pay that for any U/S print, unless it was for one of my very favourite images. While I do like this image, I would not spend that on it Unsigned (£1500 is quite a lot of money to me). Barcode, GWB, LIITA, YES, they are my favourite Banksies and if I had the SPARE coin to drop, I can see myself spending a couple of G's or so in order to land one of those, if they happened to be available for that type of cashish. Do I think he could get £1500 for it? Maybe, if he's lucky with his timing, depending on the extent of the damage.

I can understand that and whilst I've not posted much I have been actively reading threads and getting to know my way around (loving the £50 thread btw).
Second people don't like when a person tries selling something on here and than they take a picture of the piece and it doesn't accurately represent the item they are selling I took a number of pictures of the print and choose ones I thought that did in fact give a true representation of the print and condition. I'm not delboy and I wouldn't like to see someone spend a lot of money on something which isn't what they thought it would be.
and finally many members of the forum work for CSI and will notice the color of your carpet , dings in a photo and bevelled edges on paper. Quality stuff!

HC whilst I completely agree that it is best to be open and honest about the condition, I think your detective skills are actually seeing more imperfections than are genuinely there, I'm not trying to deceive at all (don't get me wrong I value all input into the care of the print, put it this way I know a damn sight more since I started this thread!).
TBH I never really knew how to do it justice, hence it wasn't framed. But idea's are now forming

Easy there Toby! No offense intended at all mate . It does look as if there are multiple sets of slight indentations along the bottom edge and possibly a very slight smear/scuff mark in the bottom left hand corner of the image (in the black area), as noticed by someone else. I was just asking you to varify if there were any further imperfections. You asked what people thought about price and any imperfections should and would be taken into account by any buyer deciding how much to offer. I'm no detective, just saying it how I see it. As stated, no offense intended whatsoever, but if I were in your shoes, I'd be showing close ups of all imperfections to interested parties by email/PM. You seem open and friendly enough and I was not suggesting that any skullduggery or sneakthievery was afoot! I wish you well with your sale!
I agree about the £50 thread btw, bloody awesome! The only problem is you have to check it religiously, or by the time you run into the best pieces, they're all gone! I always seem to miss my favourite finds in there! Hopefully you'll manage to bag some goodies though.
