Not saying Oli Epp isn't a good artist with a nice style, but things have blown up overly quickly.
It used to be that people were looking for the next Banksy, but now it seems even more random than that!
Sometimes it feels like stocks and shares. Nothing to do with the art, it's just trading paper.

Seems like a lot of pressure to continue maintaining what's arguably an artificially inflated market. It's not like he's been building his career for 10+ years and this is just the natural trajectory of a long career. What happens when he's not able to generate the hits consistently - the levels he's currently at provide no room for any trial and error(s).

Like I said, no horse in the race, but I'm not even sure I'd want my prints trading hands for these prices if I were the artist. Seems like a lot of pressure to continue maintaining what's arguably an artificially inflated market. It's not like he's been building his career for 10+ years and this is just the natural trajectory of a long career. What happens when he's not able to generate the hits consistently - the levels he's currently at provide no room for any trial and error(s).
