Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by cjwhitey on Jun 21, 2018 19:36:49 GMT 1, Well, I was one of the very first on the boat and to enter and got #200. So numbers don't say a lot. My guess would be 500-600 on the opening. Maybe 2.000 in total. There are 80 prints which might not all be available for the lottery. So maybe 50 out of 2.000. Odds are 1 in 40. Most have 2 tickets, so 1 in 20. The good cause will be the winner here. Maybe the first 100-200 went to friends and family, which would be slightly disappointing, but not at all surprising.

If the friends and family were not the people at the opening I don’t know who they are I doubt that
I just think they opened the boxes of flyer at random and didn’t opened the 0-200 at the moment

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by Deleted on Jun 21, 2018 19:42:13 GMT 1, Buying for friends. Some people are too nice! The queue was a massive pain in the but! I can attest that “the legend” was not at all pleased 😂. However, he’s truly a lovely and funny bloke!
Likewise my man! I’m just not about the queues!! That’s a young mans game 😂

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by T-Bro on Jun 21, 2018 20:07:11 GMT 1, It was an awesome show - well curated and a great location.
For me, it was a great chance to meet Pejac and talk to him - in particular about a piece I own. I didn't get lucky on the request for the pieces I wanted but when the demand exceeds supply to such a level you just need to get over FOMO - it makes for a much more interesting life.
I met up with some great forum members (and Russ) old and new from all over the globe. You couldn't meet a more friendly group of people.
I look forward with interest to see what happens with Pejac - his originality, execution, and ability to change media are what keeps him fresh and engaged.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by stelio on Jun 21, 2018 21:56:02 GMT 1, So now that I am on a plane back home and have had time to reflect on the entire trip here are some of my thoughts:
- At first, even being a log time fan boy I was a little sticker shocked from the large pieces in the show. You can’t capture the detail and shear brilliance of Pejac’s talent until you see them up close and personal. The small details are amazing and truly make the piece. The three lucky buyers of the large pieces should be very proud and honored to have such a piece in the collection. Of course the smaller sketch concepts were amazing too. Really excited to see how some of them evolve and turn into paintings later in his career. - The lotto was a great idea to raise money for a cause near and dear to Pejac’s heart or passion. Although, in my opinion, the execution of the lotto really hurt the opening night showing and I think took away from some of the brilliance at the show. Having people queue in the small quarters of the boat really tried some peoples patiences as its was extremely hot. It seemed like most saw the queue and jumped into that to go ahead and submit an lotto entry although by the time you got done queuing, you were in a full sweat and ready to go back upstairs or leave all together. Not ideal. Which left many neglecting the art presentation presented that night. For instance, something that was brought to my attention later was the Piano player. It had not dawned on me the Piano player was a live art exhibit. There is an older Pejac piece of a greased mechanic working underneath a piano with tools. Well last night that same greasy mechanic was playing the Piano with all his used tools laying underneath. Brilliant presentation but something I can only enjoy on via reflection now since I was too caught up in getting all the entry’s submitted in the lotto at that time. Going back the second day and seeing it all when its not packed was something I am glad I did. Gave me a lot more appreciation for the time and effort put into the presentation. Second day made it feel much more like the Venice exhibit. Which I enjoyed and Im sure was more like the initial intent for this show. - Loved the Water Well that was installed on the boat. Once again another cleaver installation by Pejac. - Meeting forum members and other Pejac fans from across social media was of course fun too. Always reassuring to meet like minded people who share the same love and passion for Pejacs work as you do. - First time in Paris and can say the people were not as rude as I was lead to believe. Maybe its the time of year or something? I dunno, people said the same about NYC locals and rarely have an issues there either. I only had one ‘rude’ local person cuss me out. Not bad for multiple days there. Traffic sucks for both Paris and NYC , thats for sure. Croissants are better in France than anywhere Ive had them. So are McDonald’s chicken nuggets, better than in the USA. (don’t judge me, 2am its the only thing open on the weekdays in Paris. Alcohol can cause bad decisions) - Side note... So many invaders in Paris, I know its his stomping grounds but seems like every other block has one. Which was cool to see. Saw at least 12 it seems. - Thanks to Max and Pejac for the hours of conservation and all that was shared. Getting a chance to spend time to talk to the artist (& Max) really puts the icing on top of the trip. Quick shoutout to some forum members. DiveJedi - Your sharks suck. (Kidding, as you know) Was really nice meeting you in person. I will be hitting up next time I’m near Amsterdam. Nighthawk - You are the only true “Friendly” Canadian on this forum. Great to spend time with you again as always. JLbrooks - Also really enjoyed meeting and talking to you as well. Always good to put a name and face together. Wish you the best going forward. To ‘The Legend’ and his crew- Good to see all again since Venice. Would love to catch a pint with you all together next time. It would be Legend - wait for it - dary. To Billy - Team No Shorts! To all the others I may have forgotten, know I enjoyed our time as well.
Overall a good experience in Paris, I think. Glad I made the long haul across the pond for the trip. Hopefully will be back sooner rather than later for more shows. Lots of places in EU I still want to see.
Also, PSA to everyone....Don’t travel WoWAir airlines. Learn from my mistake. Pay more and fly a ‘better’ airline. Glass half full...gotta love “EU-261” , we don’t have this in the states, you’re just screwed if something happens that bad.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by gd79 on Jun 21, 2018 22:15:25 GMT 1, Great to read all that
Just a quick, and maybe helpful, point. EU 261 can be claimed for any airline, as long as it either takes off or lands in the EU.
So even with your WoWair, if it was delayed leaving Paris then you get paid. As long as the delay was long enough, and it wasn't weather or French air traffic control.

Good to know, thanks! I sat on the plane for 4 hours and 15 mins before we took because they were painting the run way.... thats right, painting it. Someone must of not gotten the memo at WoWAir because I doubt the airport deicded to paint spur of the moment.

Damn those people !!!
I would really love that if they are winners of the print they have to send the lottery ticket (mini print associated to the lottery number written on it) to proceed with purchase Ahahah

I hope you're right, it would even out the odds for us mere mortals who didn't submit 66 entries.

I would really love that if they are winners of the print they have to send the lottery ticket (mini print associated to the lottery number written on it) to proceed with purchase Ahahah I highly doubt that. Surely you will just receive an email to purchase. Don't think Max wants to sit around for all those tickets to arrive back from all over the world before shipping each and every one.
And again; members that purchased 10, 40 or 66 did that for OTHER MEMBERS that couldn't make it to the show. There are no people with 66 chances.

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by streetartger on Jun 22, 2018 7:42:21 GMT 1, I made my math as well... Let's say 2,000 entries - 80 prints - Chance 1:25 Desprestigio 1,000+ Entries - 30 ships - Chance 1:33 (and price was almost triple)
So chances are even better now! Think positive! 😃 Good luck everyone!
