Pejac, by Red Barron on Jun 12, 2018 18:52:28 GMT 1, Why would someone put a randoms name down, when they can put family and friends names down instead, which will give them more chance of getting one or a few? Yes I am and no I can't
I think it is totally fair play if you want to sign up 20 family members rather than random strangers. BUT each entry will cost you 20 euros so you would be on the hook for 400 Euros and might end up with nothing to show for it past knowing the money went to good use. To me this is very different from the last Banksy raffle, which was free to enterand incentivized flooding the system with entries.
Congrats to Pejac for upping the ante on game theory and print drops!

Pejac, by Lroy on Jun 12, 2018 19:06:25 GMT 1, What do you guys think? A FOREST Edition of 80 105 x 75 cm 1 color hand pulled photopolymer Velin 270grs Embossed stamp, signed and numbered by the artist Includes Certificate of Authenticity 1.280โฌ (VAT included, packing and shipping not included) Marking the opening of his upcoming exhibition "Waterline" in Paris, Pejac will be releasing a new limited edition print for the occasion. For this release, the artist picked the main image from his previous Venice show, a large charcoal drawing "A Forest". Depicting a fantastical landscape dominated by the smog-covered industrial chimneys letting out thick, dark smoke, which then form a hilly landscape in the sky, the iconic drawing felt like a perfect fit for this particular show. Presenting the unjust and careless relationship between humans and nature, the piece is a great example of artist's ability to compose beautiful poetic images while portraying a dark, disturbing reality. At the same time, it shows his extraordinary artistic skills and drawing technique, creating both soft, dreamy imagery while accenting the important details in great detail. The edition was produced through a manual, painstaking process conducted and closely overlooked by the artist, resulting in each copy taking up to 1hr of work to create. Involving 5 long and precise steps for each copy, the edition run of only 80 examples measuring 105 x 75 cm (41.33 x 29.52 inches) will be available for purchase. Produced on Vein 270grs paper using 1 color hand pulled photopolymer technique, each copy has an embossed stamp, comes signed and numbered by the artist and is accompanied with Certificate of Authenticity. The print will be sold through a lottery system for which show visitors can purchase tickets in cash, and in person only. Each ticket has to be allocated to a different person (name, email, and address), but multiple tickets can be purchased by one show visitor. Each ticket will cost โฌ20 and will be honoured with an exclusive postcard/small print measuring 21 x 15 cm, available only through this lottery. All the funds collected through lottery tickets will be donated to the locally based environmental NGO Fondation GoodPlanet. best print Iโve ever seen. Ok, It s a bit about nature, Peace and love, etc ... but when I read about hype about this guy ! Even Banksy friends told me that he was the best actually. Pejac is a prince ! ( I did d not read about tickets, as a French I did not understood a world lol !

Are you seriously suggesting that paying for a chance to buy a print is the way forward? Come on, I know itโs for a cause but next it might not be, it might even become standard. If it does no one will be able to whinge because we helped start the trend.

I think it's a lovely image, the lighting on the trees is very dramatic and reminds me classical Chinese painting, but modernized. Good luck to those who enter

Oh I think it looks great too.
We have a color plotter that can take 15 minutes to print a nice image. I wouldn't say we are charging 2k though haha.
I guess I'm imagining the 1 hour relates to like the whole process but maybe it doesn't.

I mean maybe actual color takes 10 seconds but like moving the paper switching the screens etc etc add up to much more. Maybe it's just not clear what the he is in regards too to me.
Still a nice image.
"by the artist, resulting in each copy taking up to 1hr of work to create" Thanks doesn't seem like a lot of time. No? Per print that is actually quite a bit of time compared to a screen print which after registration takes about 10sec per color. I mean maybe actual color takes 10 seconds but like moving the paper switching the screens etc etc add up to much more. Maybe it's just not clear what the he is in regards too to me. Still a nice image.

Pejac, by lg2771 on Jun 13, 2018 1:53:00 GMT 1, I feel like this doesn't translate well to a print. I love the image, but I think it would be a nice stand-alone original on a material other than paper. I also don't know why I feel this way but I do.

Yes it took 80 hours to print all 80 prints. That's rather intensive. I think it's a lovely image, the lighting on the trees is very dramatic and reminds me classical Chinese painting, but modernized. Good luck to those who enter
Shep has spent 80 hrs printing 10kprints on his huge kinko photocopier ๐ love pejacs work and still bring it up with my wife that she wouldnโt leave me buy seppuka cheap when it first came out... donโt let them get involved guys!!
