Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by HRE on Jul 10, 2018 18:49:33 GMT 1, Also got the email just now - an H4-4 Cannizaro. Pretty cool as I used to live in Wimbledon and often went to the beautiful Cannizaro park over there. Hopefully not stretching it too far to believe that the work is named after the park.
You have just given me the excuse I will give to the wife.

Where would you sell them? The good auction houses may or may not take them straight away and when they do they will already have people wanting to put them in. Not sure eBay will be an easy sale and they’re tricky to send. On here? Some people may sell them but I’m not sure people will pay lots for them. I could obviously be completely wrong.

Very tricky shipping, heni tracking, and while demand may have been higher than supply, that doesn't necessarily indicate a resell market.
Still stinging from missing out personally, but honestly think anyone that grabbed one to resell is foolish. Diasec issues etc make this not perhaps the best "investment" if you're out to flip..
IMHO

The release is upon us. Sold out. Is it sold out? SOLD OUT. Is it really sold out? Still available. I hate this artist, he's a hack, a con artist, a thief, a rapist. Sold out and confirmed. Congratulations lucky ones! Sure must be heavy to lug that crate around. Can't imagine the wall space that would take. Sheesh, and the resell market. Risky move bub. Y'know what? I'm having second thoughts about this purchase. I'd like to cancel. UP AGAIN GO GO GO! SOLD OUT. Damn, poster Bob was right....

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Poster Bob on Jul 11, 2018 8:04:53 GMT 1, You are completely and utterly wrong. The "good" auction houses often break protocol and sell new releases at auction. I have seen Phillips do it in the past. The pink and blue Mickey and Minnie prints by Hirst are an example. If I remember correctly they auctioned a set a month or so after release. Artnet in general has zero fuc*s to give about protocol. If you sell on Artnet they won't publish the edition number to boot. Compared to Hirst's larger, signed editions of 50 these prints are easily worth £20k a piece. That's why you see all of this childish behavior.

I'm guessing to dissuade others from purchasing as well and having a bit of mischievous fun, but were there other reasons? Read through my posts, I made point of saying do you own research. I was mocking the constant "sold out" posts form the Boberntine.

All the auction houses also sold the Hockney taschen prints straight after release. Within a month in some cases!

I'm sure these people are only concerned about flipping, and didn't get a piece due to Heni finding out they flipped in the past. Now they're saying these 'can't be flipped'
Speaks for itself really...We'll see someone put one up for sale in the coming months to silence these haters.
