Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Deleted on Sept 15, 2018 15:50:10 GMT 1, No its not that. Many people applied and weren't successful as you can see from this thread. The people that are taking advantage of the demand are selling them at an inflated price, with the risk that comes with. For someone to change their mind and sell to you at cost defies logic. The fact alone that you may decide to sell in the future and jeopardise any future dealings with Heni is reason enough for no-one to take up your offer. IMO. Thanks, blerd much appreciate your comment. I guess nothing else left then eBay For me If you are serious about buying from a flipper on e-bay, I would suggest you leave it for a while. There's always a bit of a buzz following new releases. if they turn up on ebay 6 months from now, I suspect they will probably be cheaper.

I think you right, once they will be delivered there will be plenty more on the bay which means they will go next to release price.
Thanks,

How many highly desirable Hirsts have you found on eBay after general release for next to retail price ? NONE is the answer !!! Why would an edition of 100 900x900mm spot prints be any different ?

How many other times has Hirst dropped 1100 prints in 2 weeks, and had some buyers pass at retail or less (with Tate discount).. some passed on h4 and h5
While I like looking at diasec works, do some research on the flaws and life span of the medium. Not every one is turned on by it. And even further a lot of people I know that own Hirst and much better work feel it's very "doctor's office" like in appearance..
These will be available on secondary (and I'd bet still a few available from source from unpaid, h4 was nearly a month of people still getting chances on less than half the total prints)... Not saying retail, but these won't be super high end imho.
One thing to consider tho, is transport of a large semi delicate basically bonded piece.. can be tricky and expensive

One has to wonder why they are so inexpensive compared to his usual print prices?
Perhaps because he is going in a different style? But no one knows for sure.

People pass for varying reasons as we all know. However both Serpentine and Tate were certainly not short of willing customers to fill the void. It all takes time so a month is no time whatsoever to flush out the passers from the buyers.
Transportation of these shouldn’t be a problem. One good thing about Heni is the quality of their shipping. I’ll agree that shipping costs tend to be on the high end due to crate weight and size but when you’re spending £3-5k on a piece an extra few quid for said shipping isn’t really a deal breaker in my opinion?

Damien Hirst H4 • Veils, by Express Post on Sept 15, 2018 23:14:31 GMT 1, I will assume that the Hirst owners that formed the opinion of doctor's office saw the Henis in real life. Is that correct?
I think the reason folks were being offered a month or so after for H4 was because of sales being managed by one person and their part time assistant.
Tate had a whole team.
The following artists use diasec in their practice. I purposely left out Richter.
Gregory Crewdson, Thomas Demand, Elger Esser, Nan Goldin, Andreas Gursky, Candida Hoffer, David LaChappelle, Marilyn Minter, Shirin Neshat, Thomas Ruff, Cindy Sherman, Thomas Struth, Jeff Wall, Massimo Vitali...
Just treat them like any paper based print, handle with care and don't leave them in the sunlight.

He seems to be working on more veil style works, but that video could have been taken a while back and posted later. I don't see any new works or exhibits this year, he's having a laugh in Africa or somewhere similar...

Remember there is 25% BP, artist resale rights, shipping etc. At 6-7k you could probably pick up a nicer piece at gallery. Also, if I remember correctly these retailed at something like 6-7k so, I think the going rate of these is going to be higher.
Weng (which I believe is expensive) has just the key priced at $5k.
