Not up the wall yet since I’ve been traveling a lot (hopefully they’ll get to the framer later this month). Hence I can’t break the tie yet (I was originally partial toward #5, but #6 has definitively grown on me after seeing it in the flesh)

When I saw all the H4 prints at the Serpentine in London, they all looked very much the same to me (except in different colours of course).
But having said that, you will be lucky to get any H4 print at a reasonable price, let alone being able to "choose the right one".

I understand that. I own a h4 and it looked a lot different from the picture showed online on their Instagram. A lot better. But I think anyone who spends a lot of money on something especially on the secondary deserves a little research.

My nephew and I thought we both liked raffles (#5) the best but the more I see images of Plaza (#6) the more I like it... would be great to see an image of the 2 side by side. The pdf made raffles look brighter but the pics I've seen on insta look like the colours pop more on Plaza. |

I truly believe that when buying art you need to see them in the flesh. Pdfs, instagram and forum photo’s should only be used as a ‘guide’ and whenever possible, pieces need to be viewed.

She looked very confused and a bit cross that I'd obviously not been paying any attention during her class's, she then said it lacked any form of technique, was devoid of any merit or meaning and that I'd basically just wasted paint.
OUCH bit harsh ah!
I then fessed up to it being a Hirst and luckily she saw the funny side

I'm there to learn traditional techniques of painting and practice the skills necessary to develop my own style. We'd both be wasting our time if I didn't listen or learn anything. It was a bit cheeky of me to pretend I'd painted the Hirst it was just a bit of a fun really and not in context as right now I'm learning about representational and not abstract art. I'm sure it won't effect Damien Hirsts market ... I hear he's doing pretty well for himself. |
