When Will We Start Seeing More Brainwash At Auctions, by shy on Jul 5, 2018 2:14:15 GMT 1, Good question...Looks like many forum members don't hold his work in high regard. That may be the same sentiment. But it is odd that considering the amount of work he pumps out- he's not readily being sold at auction?

When Will We Start Seeing More Brainwash At Auctions, by Laugh Now 10 on Jul 5, 2018 2:19:22 GMT 1, With all due respect this is not the place for a Brainwash related question in regard to his โvalueโ perceived or otherwise - if you enjoy his work then keep your piece(s) - if not, throw them on eBay and his market will speak for itself - best of luck

I absolutely detest his Indian factory style or making 'art' with the same recycled shit over and over again, not even made by himself, as I recon does most of the forum here.
But his releases always sell out INSTANTLY, so there should be a huge secondary market for his stuff. So who buys this utter garbage (it's fucking expensive as well for people that are not in the art game, it's not like a random Ikea print) so..how does his secondary market actually do? Do people actually pay like 5k for one of his prints?

When Will We Start Seeing More Brainwash At Auctions, by shy on Jul 5, 2018 2:35:30 GMT 1, there are interior designers in America and advisors that I know of that really push his work.
Then I've seen some people outgrow his art and the same advisors try to flip it to new clients.
So yes, he has a following.
I've also seen a lot of it at art shows/fairs across North America. So he's got his own niche of collectors .

You are correct and I concur with everything you said - itโs baffling, to be honest - my guess is that a lot of his (uneducated?) buyers have seen Exit Through The Gift Shop and want to own a piece of his work after watching the film ?

It's just so weird to me that you'd have to be on his mailing list (which i am for shits and giggles) to even buy his work from source. I don't think casual art buyers are on mailing lists. So..how do these prints find their way to these casual buyers, is it all one big flipping fest by galleries? Are there really people walking into a posh gallery that has a brainwash for 5k for sale which cost them $500 and be like OMG SUPERMAN AND MOHAMMED ALI THATS SO AWESOME I WANT THIS?
