my first time here, and I've got a BME which I bought from Greenleaf back in 2002 I think. Unfortunatley, I need to sell it as I've gone back to studying after a long old time and can't pay the bills! It's got a little damage on the RHS where it fell off the wall once, and a mysterious red dot in thye middle. But it's professionally framed and looks amazing all the same; the damage is not on the ink, just the egde of the paper. I've not got authentification and really can't afford the 50 quid at the moment, otherwise I wouldn't be selling!
I gues I just wondered if anyone has ideas as to where I should sell it, how much it might be worth, and how vital the authentication is?
I really don't want to sell, but have to. I'm based in London.

There is an area for sales/trades in the forum. Put some info there and some photos up.

I'm guessing a few of us are watching the unsigned Bomb Middle England that's currently on ebay.
I arranged to pop round and see it today at the ebay agency that's flogging it on behalf of the owner.
Just as a heads up, it is dry mounted on to a piece of board. Other than that, it is in reasonably good condition. (I didn't go over it carefully but noted that the corners are a bit scuffed and there's at least one ripple). It does has a pucka COA.
For me, I'm out, solely because of the dry-mounting. For the starting bid price, I'd be after a mint version.
Just my opinion, I thought it might help those thinking of bidding.
If the seller is on here, best of luck.

It is generally not recommended for Polaroid and Inkjet prints since both are sensitive to temperature.
Dry mounting works by placing a special adhesive tissue between the photograph and the mount board. It is then placed in a special press that will apply pressure either mechanically or with a vacuum to press the artwork against the mount board while applying a high temperature to activate the adhesive in the tissue.
Dry mounting itself does not hurt the image significantly. It was declined as the seller thinks they can make a higher price and they are going to relist the print.
I've left my offer on the table if it doesn't sell second time around.
Real shame, I've been after a BME for a while now.

I'd have to agree that the dry mounting would put me off but just wondered what he was asking for it - it's one image i'd love on my wall. There was one on some garage doors from me years ago that I was always tempted about asking the owner if i could replace the doors and take the old ones...

Banksy Bomb Middle England Print โข 2003 , by howies on May 25, 2010 15:16:57 GMT 1, So i have finally scored this BME and now with COA, I have to give a big thankyou to CrazyJake here on the forum as after I didn't go thru with the original sale on ebay, he won the print for half of what I offered and this time the seller went to the effort to get the COA,
CrazyJake then offered it to me at the price he won it at, I couldn't resist that. thanks again
The print is a little more damaged then the seller made out with a few scuff marks and a crease thru the ladies, I have taken it into a conservator and although it needs a bit of work she said it will be like new, but they are so busy it won't be done till october

Item has been hung briefly, but has been specially treated to ensure that there is no fading to the print and is therefore in very good condition; however there are a couple of creases.
Please note that this print has been glued onto a rigid board with fastenings already attached to hang as is or it can be framed.
Love it.. wonder what they "treated" it with.. probably laminated

If its varnished I may have a bid, that shouldn't be to hard to fix
