I agree. Actually the pieces I have are more like the Laz ones: one is a coal tit (which has shiny silver legs) lying on an antique prayer book under a chandelier and the other is a brown squirrel asleep in a glass with a very tall stem. I do like the ones with melted metal too - very nice indeed.

Hey Mark, I bought the one that I think you're referring to. It arrived about a month ago and is simply stunning. The tabs are small and pretty much invisible from the front. Otherwise its in perfect condition, and it came with the original receipt! I'm busy planning framing as we speak.
