Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by morrissey1 on Dec 15, 2007 0:13:48 GMT 1, when my Sepia Morons arrived earlier this year it was damaged (big surprise)...so I sent it back to POW, Dora was great as usual....and I waited, and I waited, and I waited for two and half months for my replacement print. Waited that long because it took that long for Banksy to show up to sign that batch of replacements. So, if anyone was thinking that someone in the POW office is signing these prints, give your head a shake...it makes no sense. Why would they make me wait 2 1/2 months (and sit through my daily "just checking to see how things are going with my print" emails....)?

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by spenie1975 on Dec 15, 2007 0:26:03 GMT 1, wasn't there a big debate about the cranon signature on the B & W trolleys as well. Being shit and signed by someone else. Isn't this just sour grapes from the people who missed out. I cannot believe that the signature is fake as people paid for a signed Banksy. It may be shit (in some peoples eyes) but it's still signed and anyone who actually owns a colour trolley can rest assured that the signiture is a genuine one. What is the point of POW selling anything otherwise.

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by DYL4N on Dec 15, 2007 0:43:55 GMT 1, Hi, Just got my first Banksy today (Colour Trolleys) ;D Wife rang to say it had arrived, told her to bring it straight to the office, thats when the problems started! Went to open it then thought, no this isnt right surely there should be drum rolls, champagne or the like, started to feel quite nervous. Decided to wait and take it home for the grand opening, was driving home with it safely straped in the passenger seat, then thought, god its warm in the car, i wonder if thats good for the print, and actually turned the aircon down how sad is that? Anyway just got the kids to bed, got the tube into the lounge, debated what end to open etc, anyway was it worth the wait, too right it was. So thats my story, my question is:
How do you open your Banksy's???

...I gently place it on the floor to admire it....
......then my cat jumps on it!!

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by bert on Dec 15, 2007 1:09:15 GMT 1, Clumsily! My coloured trolleys arrived today and I put my fingers in to slide the print out and managed to stick my finger right onto the pencil signature. I pulled my hand out and had a carbon copy 'Banksy' pencil signature on my finger! An original work you might say...
Luckily, no damage done.

Once out, the hard part is rolling it back up and putting it into the tube.

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by morrissey1 on Dec 15, 2007 1:22:03 GMT 1, for me, it no longer matters....by the time my tube gets to Canada it's been raped by so many postal workers I have to send it right back anyway.......
oh, and no offense to any postal workers, or actual victims or rape....just a misguided choice of words

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by jam on Dec 15, 2007 3:25:47 GMT 1, My steps are:
Stalk postie daily until I see her coming toward the door (finally!) where I receive the tube from said postie at door with an ear to ear grin.
Clear off my dining room table.
Pop off an end of the tube and have a sniff.
Put on lint free gloves.
Shake tube lightly until print meets open end.
Put hand in tube and twist lightly against the paper so it tightens slightly and will clear tube end without hanging up.
Carefully remove print and lay out on table to have proper inspection.
(Pop in for a peek and enjoy the new print a few times)
Allow to relax for a few days before putting it on an office table in spare room to continue flattening out. Label and store tube with paperwork.
(Pop in for a peek and enjoy the new print a few more times)
Off to the framers
Enjoy seeing it on the wall! ;D

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by Gentle Mental on Dec 15, 2007 10:01:27 GMT 1, make double sure the kids are asleep (a bit of drowsy cough mixture helps!) turn the tv off. kiss the missus goodnight.
keep the room temperature cool (so no sweat dripping), your hands and your table clean,
pop it out, unroll it, and stare.
Do it gently, quietly, and privately.
Soaking it every detail.
As you would, with your first porn mag.

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by lastpost on Dec 15, 2007 14:45:01 GMT 1, All of the above is after the following interrogation: - Ohh!! another painting (if only it was a painting) - So how much did that one cost? (I think it was £25quid, maybe £30...) - What are you going to do with this one? (well I had planned on it taking the place of your mirror actually...)
We have the exact same conversation every time!!

Banksy • Trolley Hunters Coloured , by illings on Dec 15, 2007 21:20:50 GMT 1, I opened mine at work to show off to colleagues, then left it in the office overnight (mad you may say), then took it home on the train the following evening in the freezing cold. Sounds rather relaxed compaired to you DYL4N, but its still "just a print" :-)

nah mate-- you would be a bit more relaxed about it if the plan is to sell it on
