I went to ArtRepublic the other week and was surprised how big the CND Soldiers print was in real life. I imagined it was about the same size as Monkey Queen & Turf War.
What do you think about this picture?
It seem that the Jack & Jill picture is much more popular, and I guess thats why POW release the CND a bit before Jack & Jill.

Went to Parliament Square on sat and took some pics of the big version! looks great. and with the right angle you can get tourists in the background getting their photo taken by the Churchill statue. rather ironic! :-)

bit surprised. I LOVE the image and message, but shame it's on creamy coloured paper, rather than bright white. Wow, they sell fast.

personally I think
a) ยฃ250 is too much. ebay ones tend to go for about ยฃ150-170
b) I wouldn't give them my businees. Not only are they trying to flog prints they got for ยฃ75 for ยฃ250 (after being 'closed' whilst the prints sold out at POW) but they were also rather naughty by having Flying Copper on their website for ยฃ250. After 3 weeks of apparent 'loss of email / internet access', they failed to honour this price and miraculously put the price up to ยฃ500.

gosh, you are right! Price on ebay just shot up then, or that is a one off. An unsigned J&J has never gone for that before - lots of newbies around I think.

i'm however getting increasingly cheesed off with people stockpiling tho - one user on ebay is currently selling his 5th Jack & Jill.... POW have to stop this re-selling.

I could get my girlfriend her mum and dad, my mum and dad, and my sisters and brothers to get two prints each chuck them a tenner each for the trouble and get them all on ebay as soon as they sell out. I wouldn't though cos i'm too lazy.

Yeah, dont worry thats fine ;D Its just luck if you get one with a nice sharp stamp, I have seen loads that you can hardly read

I was a bit late to discover the POW site but CND soldiers must have been up there a considerable bit before J&J. CND was Dec wasn't it? J&J was late jan I think - it was the first new signed one I could have got but didn't coz I wasn't sure I liked the print - little did I know that banksy activity / buying was going crazy at that point!! I did finally get order an unsigned one after seeing it 'in the flesh' at the POW office. still can't understand why many people are obsessed with signed copies!
Judging on the numbers of some unsigned ones already on ebay I assume J&J must be very close to selling out. I have been expecting to see the 'sold out' sign for a while now - I think a lot of people seem to like it more than CND, which still does JUST play a part in people's Banksy buying (Mary has bombed! LOL. Napalm is a great idea, and I fought the law is a great print, but neither have sold out - because people don't like them as much I think). It's not just all about money....yet.....
Seems weird trying to look into the future (I wonder what people thought 2 years ago?) but I think all these will sell out sooner or later (mainly sooner) as there is very little that newbies can get at cost price..... and older ones are pretty unaffordable to most of us unless we see them only as investment opportunities

Yep, its clear that people are only buying what they really like. Virgin Mary must be the slowest seller out of all the Banksy Pictures?

J&J and CND are both numbered editions of 350, where as Napalm & Law are either 500 or 600 copies. People are always far more interested in signed prints by any artist as historically they are worth between 3 & 5 times more than numbered prints. Signed prints have the artists writing on them and are therefore more personal, a lot of the time the artist will not have even numbered the prints himself and so a numbered print does not have that personal touch.
