hello everyone,
after some research for a banksy pechkam rock, having found one at a reasonable price on the forum, I wanted to buy it from a member of the community, however he did not want a PayPal transaction for goods and services and only between friend and family otherwise I had to apply more than 20 percent in fees, hirs the paypal fees are far from the cap for the goods and services... is my reaction normal or do you happen to pay like that to anyone without guarantee??

I usually pay friends and family, and get payment that way if its under £1k. If over, paypal can get a bit snotty
It's all trust on here
if You don't pay friends and family, and pay on services You could claim back and say you didn't receive the goods and he loses the money
If You pay Friends and family, and he doesn't send, then you would lose your money
Maybe get some references from people he has sold to before.
Most of the time You have to go on instinct

It’s in the order of the things on here, I mean it’s usual and everyone will ask you that.
Or buy on eBay and it will be more expensive for you.
What is 4/5 % ?
The only problem with friends and families is that : seller and buyer have no Paypal insurance if there is a problem.

And a few years ago (I could find the exact date and member) an account of an unused former member had been hacked, and the hacker offered works for sale that they obviously never sent. Some members had been very hassled while those who had taken out insurance had an immediate reimbursement
