i'm sure all the 'galleries' are doing it ROFL or maybe lets look deeper here- JOHN JONES AND ELMS did something effective with neon/vibrant frames at the PPP show
but WAIT!! they MATCHED THE COLOURS IN THE FRAME TO THE PIECE IT HELD. the neate pieces were very BRIGHT IN COLOUR THEMSELVES.
this ENHANCED the piece not DISTRACT from it with a completely UNRELATED NEON COLOUR.
IMO this bloke just likes this frame and would put ANYTHING into it!
IMHO the framer should have ADVISED AGAINST IT!

Theres speaking up and theres being disrespectfull, I personally think the frame looks mint, Compliments the canvas really well and is well suited to his modern pad.

mr monkey, i was under the impression that posting this up was to garner opinion not UNIVERSAL PRAISE

The colours are by contrast complimentary, but lets face it thats probably beyond you. Sometimes its important to take a risk and make a bold statement about a piece. Even just to see if it works. I can assure you in reality it does.

I was not completely sure about it. All I can say is it grew on me rapidly. Whether its suits the piece or not I disagree. I think it is a perfect compliment. As to whether it is to everybody's taste? Well clearly the majority like it but lawyerly that is irrelevant as most importantly of all I do. ABC, just for you.  and few ideas of the setting.
