Think there is an awful lot you can read into a portrait of the queen wearing her crown with her eyes closed, things have changed a lot in her lifetime and the years are showing on her face. Yet she also has a very calm look.
Very open to interpretation and gets me thinking. I'll have to pop along and have a look. Not that I would ever consider buying it, but its a very fresh take on a living monarch.

Also had a long chat with Chris, very nice guy, you know the Laser Pod, that was him, you know the led in a clear plastic block, that was him. And you see them in his exihibition.
He may not be traditional artist, but that has not stopped him creating some cracking stuff. He works with light and has a passion for it.
The persistence of vision exhibits are great, lots of laser, lots of atmosphere and plenty of stuff to see.
Leaves you wanting to take home a picture of queenie. (that Elizabeth R. II version that is)
