It appears they are not too happy with all the flipping going on. There is a rumor of more being released but I could be wrong. Some of the patrons mentioned another drop.
I can confirm that they a grip of shirts in XS or S; no larger. Also, tons of HK books and LA books.
They had two of the mirror prints framed and not for sale behind the counter.
Beautiful show and nice collection of work.

The biggest shame for me is the books. I almost missed out on a Ravenna book, which is just nuts. They are the most accessible and (likely) enjoyable aspect to all levels of fans, and even they're stupidly hard to get because of the flip.
Interesting to note the negative comments/removal of Invader's kit announcement post followed by the bird flip painting on IG... this has been an interesting time.

I can confirm that many people new to Invader drops that copped in person in LA had no idea about the Space Shop, or how Space Shop drops worked. I think there will be the usual amount of Space Shop flips, vs. the "new wave" complexcon high volume flips of kits snagged at OTI. The biggest shame for me is the books. But each kit that was bought in person had their name, e-mail along with which kit number they got. Maybe find out the numbers for the ones being flipped and ban them from making future purchases from the gallery, like what Shepard Faiery does. |
