Invader Hollyweed Print, by Pavoni on Nov 2, 2018 1:04:41 GMT 1, think it would look great next to a Jonas Wood print I'm thinking any of my walls would look great next to a Jonas Wood print.
FWIW I think this Invader print is alright. 8-bit, could be made from tiles, hidden Invader. Christmas-y colors...'Tis the Season.
Scooter is the worst...MBW print with an Invader signature. All in the family I guess.

Invader Hollyweed Print, by Matt on Nov 2, 2018 11:29:09 GMT 1, I know it's his scooter. Makes it nostalgic memorabilia at best, not art. You could argue that most prints are just that, merchandising, mementos, memorabilia...
Also not sure why an artist's scooter wouldn't be art. Not that I'm in love with the idea or this exact print, but honestly I don't think the depicted object is a valid indicator of whether or not something is art ?
Are flowers, soup cans, of smoking pipes more worthy of art than a scooter ?

My point here is that you re comparing orange and apples. You may like it or not, the bacjground of the scooter print is not the same of the other guy’s production.

Huge mistakes being made long term buying at that price (if they're real bids)

Invader Hollyweed Print, by wakeskater on Nov 5, 2018 3:10:54 GMT 1, I only see the one print that was recently posted on his Instagram. The weed print. Wasn’t there suppose to be a second print released? Anyone know what the original price point was?

Yes. Heard $1500 as well from someone who bought.

Invader Hollyweed Print, by Deleted on Nov 5, 2018 8:28:50 GMT 1, It was 1500. I waited 7 hours to get 1 print. Most were sold to exhibitors who got a golden ticket before it opened to general public. I was told repeatedly by security to get out of the imaginary line that I was waiting in but I was stubborn because the invader print was the only reason I went to complex con on Sunday. Eventually they gave in.

Invader Hollyweed Print, by iamzero on Nov 5, 2018 8:44:40 GMT 1, I love the imagery of some cockwomble security guard trying to break up a queue of one lone person. SIR PLEASE STOP QUEUING. Nice to know invader is looking out for his fan base by selling to traders to put on eBay first. Thumbs up big guy.

At that point I was thinking - I drove all the way over here, paid for parking, and have no interest in any other booth - I’ve got nothing better to do than stand around watching people who have no idea who invader is buy his and mike lee’s work.
I was joined by a group of 10 people who were hopefully rewarded as well. Eventually security sympathized with us. As long as we understood nothing would be left for us to purchase, we were allowed to line up in our “imaginary line.” In the end it was better than leaving empty handed.

I admit to having not heard of it before this weekend, and from what I’ve seen I don’t think it’s something that appeals to me... but I don’t think I fully understand what it is
It’s not something I would look forward to. I live in Los Angeles so I dropped by to purchase the Felipe Pantone release. Then the Invader print was revealed to be released the next day so I purchased another pass. I could have purchased everything on Sunday and I would have stuck to attending 1 day if I knew about the Invader release before I purchased the Saturday ticket.
Im still recovering from some major surgery on my legs so I’m amazed that I didn’t collapse but holding on to the guard rails that were placed to form lines helped me out a lot.
It’s not a good event, it’s not a fun event, but if you’re in town and want to try your hand at getting art you actually want, sure try it out.

I believe the toy was 300 and the print was 400? I’m least clear on the price of the print to be honest. My brain wasn’t running quite right as I had not eaten anything besides breakfast. I don’t even have a receipt.

Invader Hollyweed Print, by Deleted on Nov 5, 2018 9:44:53 GMT 1, I got what I wanted and I went home. I didn't post up against other booths blocking traffic so that everyone could see what I purchased. The weed print looked great, a bit smaller, but a lot nicer than in the pictures. I don't regret standing in line and it was the right thing to do.

Judge and be judged. "Pathetic" is relative and not mutually exclusive. I suspect your print owes much to the culture you're looking down on.
