True story, his first Macy's balloon was a companion, and it upset children. People were going WTF??! But he had hypebeasts in high places, and fast forward to today, he's sitting pretty with Condo's gallerist.

BFF and Full body and Flayed Companions Open Editions were available again at MOMA store two weeks ago. I'm sure the guy will offer someday some big pack including all open editions, it's a gold mine for him.

He is producing new Art and he will convert them in open edition. With the pace weโve seen this year, even shops wonโt be looking to stock old stuff, taking the risk of having to store them for a while (ex: Perrotin still has unsold stocks of Small Lies).

Actually, I don't think the companions were, in fact, re-issued. I got the impression they found an old box of them at the back of their store room and sold them. It wasn't an actual re-release. It was way too limited for that. Although you are right about the BFF - but, again, it was only certain colours not all of them. |

Wish I would've doubled up on each color but having the set is good enough for now. My daughter loves it too, I told her KAWS had babies.. she thought that was so funny. Gosh I love art.
