Its just another detail, while nice, will surely be placed to various degrees on the box. No difference then claiming your envelope is unique as the stamp is angled at 1.04 degrees which differentiates it from others. They all have it in one form or another.
Not trying to hate - I think its a cool piece but don't see this as any more of a selling feature for those that were on the fence. Congrats to those who snagged one, hope they look great in the flesh.

For someone so concerned about saving the environment, adding all kinds of big wooden crates for an envelope seems counter intuitive as well.

all artworks are hand finish and different If you had one to sell to me, what would you say that would differentiate yours from all the others to give me an incentive to buy? They are all hand finished, with the same details in slightly different locations. Unless each and every single piece has a different stencil on the box, which I doubt - they are all the same. Not knocking it as if you're buying the art for yourself its an added bonus. I just see this "custom" initiative as a way to increase interest when it doesn't add any inherit value to the piece overall. Had it been mentioned from the very beginning I don't think it would have changed things. Had a select few been treated as such (as someone mentioned previously), creating a limited edition within the open edition, then thats an entirely different story. |
