I'd rather buy the pejac print and enjoy if for life on my wall. That would be worth 2k over a lifetime and way worth it if that was the case.
Like i said. Maybe that's me as just an art lover.

Firstly, I just want to point out that everyone has their own taste in Art, obviously people share different opinions. You mentioned in a previous post
Now I'm not trying to stirs**t here, but I had a look at Nick Smith and his bio saysย
"Glasgow born artist, Nick Smith produces striking versions of iconic artworks, with the exclusive use of colour swatches."
Essentially what he really does is this.
Nick Smith Step by Step Guide:
Step 1. Go to Google images and search for an image, any image you like.
Step 2. Open chosen image up in Photoshop > Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic > Cell Size 50 > Ok
Step 3. Use the Eyedropper tool on each individual pixel, click the colour in the swatch pallette and choose "Pantone Libraries", this will give you the pantone equivalent of the colour.
Step 4. Once you have each pixels pantone colour, buy some old pantone swatches off ebay.
Step 5. Find each swatch chip and cut out of the book.
Step 6. Print off a large version of the image you pixelated in photoshop and rest a piece of paper next to it which you will glue your cut out chips on.
Step 7. Make sure you match each chip with the pixel you've printed out.
Step 8. Go toย Word Randomizerย and bash out some random words to put under each chip.
Step 9. Post on insta with a release date.
Step 10. Go to Step 1 and repeat the process until you have a following.
It's really what I'd call, "Paint by numbers".

You can buy a sentimental Victorian painting for less now than you would have done 100 years ago (allowing for inflation, of course). Art and artists go in and out of fashion. |
