Kaws • Lost Time, Alone Again, Far Far Down, by Wrinkled Brain on Jan 2, 2020 18:58:38 GMT 1, Oversized, vibrant, colorful, well-crafted, pointless abstract prints. KAWS is not an Abstract artist. He riffs on popular culture. Those are the works that matter.

Kaws • Lost Time, Alone Again, Far Far Down, by Wrinkled Brain on Jan 2, 2020 19:11:03 GMT 1, $75000 for the framed set. It is really nice in person, and no matter what anyone says you can’t lose money on kaws sets close to primary. I can’t predict when this set will increase for the resellers but a set has sold at auction for $90000. Bottom line, buy it because you enjoy it, long term this set will only go up. Kaws has solidified himself enough where it’s impossible to lose money from toys, edition, or uniques at cost. Yes, this didn’t appreciate like a lot of the resellers has hope, but no one is even close to selling a set for $65000 + fees. It’s very rare you can buy a set of Kaws secondary for a reasonable price without debating if your getting ripped off or not. If you want to talk long term, a lot of people are splitting these sets up which means there will be more and more complete matching sets unavailable. Just my thoughts, and Happy New Year. Couldn't have said it any better. I've collected KAWS for 3 decades now. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, has his stuff resold for much more than retail for several years after release... odd right? Seems crazy this print set is still at cost or just a little more..? That's because collecting KAWS is new to you.
Quote me on this:
This print set will be worth at least 2.5X its original value by the end of this decade which one could argue is a better investment than anything. Anyone that truly cared for KAWS before the hype has a solid collection and is nowhere to be found in the comments on this site anymore.
Good luck with the sale.

Kaws • Lost Time, Alone Again, Far Far Down, by The Blind Kid on May 4, 2020 5:32:16 GMT 1, Have personally always loved this set. I don't understand the flop - always thought both the size and artwork itself were really good value in the realm of the Kaws's pricing world.. if I had the cash, this would 100% go down as a no-brain investment that I could enjoy for many years on my walls

By “people” you mean the peanut gallery here.

Totally agree. Kaws action figures have been declining in price in Asian market. No one is even talking about the prints.
The next “Kaws” would be Daniel Arsham.

DM me if you are looking to pay a real price. If you want to buy PTP for £10,000 then I’m not your guy

Kaws • Lost Time, Alone Again, Far Far Down, by Riotcops on Oct 20, 2020 18:57:41 GMT 1, A seller just walked away with $11,250 for one of these on HA, one for $11,700 and the other not sold. Thats a rough 50% loss.

Kaws • Lost Time, Alone Again, Far Far Down, by greenart on Oct 20, 2020 19:02:32 GMT 1, Funny, a gallery I follow via mailing list just reached out 20 minutes ago saying they have just secured this set and are willing to sell as a set or individual. Did they buy it and looking for a quick flip, or is stock falling fast?

..and I think these prints, along with tension, or the worst stuff he's done. I get trying to push the envelope, but these went too far.

Is it just me or there’s a big difference between results on HA and results from other auction houses for Kaws pieces? Is it because their clients have shallower pockets? Just look at Christies, Bonhams, Digard, the results are much higher for a lot of similar artworks a. What do you think?
