2019 Recession, by rebate on Jan 4, 2019 17:53:08 GMT 1, Did you buy physical gold or paper gold? I cant help but wonder these days as paper gold seems so popular, which stuns me!! Nah just been buying up gold from the royal mint everytime it dropped under a certain amount, but now its gone sky high again, or at least it had a few days ago when i last checked anyway Good decision. i never can get my head round paper gold, in case institutions collapse n stuff. I guess neither do you! so i cant ask why.

2019 Recession, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Jan 4, 2019 21:20:10 GMT 1, A financial crash is not a bad thing if you want to buy a first house. House prices will go down. In a booming economy house price will go high. And if you don't have a major investment in stock not much to worry about. As I understand you have a couple of Banksy's lying around. So you got some back up. ย Good luck with the family expansion! That will keep your mind of global sh!t. Yeah very true... just hope it's before we get a mortgage and not after ! Lol. I guess my collection is a bit like stocks lol Thanks โ๐
Good luck with the wedding and baby fella. Kids are expensive, we stopped at two!

2019 Recession, by caruso on Jan 4, 2019 21:36:53 GMT 1, Just live today, it's the key to happiness. Worrying about something never changes the outcome. OMG, what are you doing on hereย mum? You're embarrasing me...
I found your comment funny, but on a serious note spend 100 hours worrying, then spend another 100 trying to solve the cause of your worry and see for yourself what yields better results.

I would agree with you if I was still in my 20โs partying hard, not voting and giving a fuck. Everyone is different but for me it changes when you get old(er) with kids and responsibilities so I just need to be in touch (not going deep into everything and worrying) with economy, politics etc.. and I can pretend I know a little when I talk BS win my directors and friends at BBQโs ๐

Out of interest what does the price of gold rely on? Technology, jewellery or something else?

Besides I drove over a thousand kms to vote when I actually was still in my 20s, so please do not assume all 20 y.o. are selfish party animals with no responsibility or vision (some of us couldn't afford to be, or maybe had a bit more 'soul'). Being informed doesn't mean you have to worry, in fact the more information you collect - and by that I mean relevant information, not the mass media brainwashing crap most people are spoon fed on a daily basis, but the actual info most of us are way too lazy to find - the more information you have access to the more at peace of mind you will be.

I agree with the looking for information but itโs who to believe ?, nothing is reliable these days.

2019 Recession, by Deleted on Jan 5, 2019 11:46:49 GMT 1, I also like gold via jewelry 24K through sites such as mene.com which buy and sell at spot price. Having bars and coins is good but not the most liquid of assets. You'll be fucked when we cant afford to run the WWW and the whole of web land closes down eh Get your baked beans here!! Beans is where its at And toast Come the apocalypse, baked beans will be worth their weight in gold. When Trump starts the nuclear holocaust with North Korea a tin of baked beans could save your life. A gold ring will do diddly squat.
