This has got nothing to do with established artists, you pay what you want for the piece, for the image, for the art, you shouldnt buy something for the artists name, surely you learnt that when you bought your own jboy works. Well the shrigley is a load of elephants**t as well, but at least you know your paying for a real artists work
Having an art degree doesnโt make you a โreal artistโ. I have a criminal justice degree, doesnโt make me a cop.

IMO Rampage print is still overpriced. Shrigley seems to be releasing so many prints these days.

Agreed. The only way youโre not buying the Artist name is if no one has heard of them. (Ps. Your protests will fall on death ears. From Basquiat to Banksy thatโs the Art game).

I find it extremely difficult to get in on early tier prices and it feels like a rip off when you have to pay late tier pricing to buy a print. This applies across the board, not just to one particular artist |

I like Shrigley and I collect his prints, but lately I have become more selective.
My advice is buy what you love and don't follow the herd.

I think that Shrigs prices have always increased at a steady rate. With the prices of the last few Counter editions releases set high the speculators got all excited and a spike has been achieved. That said, the quality of the works has also increased. Once the excitement of these vibrant large prints dies down along with the prolific output, the rate will probably revert to type. His work will always be collectable due to it's very nature and global appeal.
