Kaws Brooklyn Museum Print, by jluhiex on Feb 4, 2019 19:44:37 GMT 1, First: What's a VIP ticket? I got the print through the online sale, which doubled as a ticket (technically VIP ticket). However, even if prior to that sale, if you bought the $2500 Special Ticket, you would get a print--it would still be mailed to you regardless.
If you have more info on someone receiving a print at the museum, please share. Because when I saw that--it just raised some red flags b/c I saw nobody walking around with something like that--and don't even know where they would've had them even. The table inside didn't and again, it was not in the gift bags.
The Museum said no prints would be given out at the event, they are all being mailed. This is what they told me over the phone. This is VVVIP though.

Kaws Brooklyn Museum Print, by Riotcops on Feb 4, 2019 19:55:36 GMT 1, Thats why I was asking you my friend. Here are the facts form my side: I personally know a collector from Dusseldorf/Germany who bought a VIP ticket (not sure how much he paid) and he had the print in hand right after the event. But also he knows Kaws since ages and owns many originals so I don't know if he received it because of the so called VIP ticket (he used this term) or as a personal gift. Ya, perhaps the print he received had nothing to do with the 250 sold for those who bought tickets? In the actual Instagram post Kaws mentions he gives them to friends as gifts and when he sends packages. Perhaps your VIP friend just received a gift outside of the edition that was sold.

Kaws Brooklyn Museum Print, by touchdowntodd on Feb 4, 2019 20:04:15 GMT 1, More than anything I'm interested to see how u guys frame em, and how they look in person...
It looks like an interesting edition.. Basically stamp cut from the printing seconds. Very smart usage, allows like 24 cuts from each discarded print.
Hope everyone enjoys em. Definitely cool idea . I'd prefer the big print with the mini prints punched out lol. Would be cool as fuck to me. Swiss cheese kaws

Because of the size, Iโm going to go for a 12โ square perspex box. I like the idea of tondo framing, but I think the print will be too small to make that work.

Same lister from illinois. Relisted with the same outcome. Bunch of zero activity users shilling up to stupid amounts.

Shilled to hell I honestly dont think so. These will probably be 7500-10k. I donโt even think they have shipped yet, so anyone actually bidding has no idea what theyโre gegting. That being said theyโre all 1/1 unique prints. I have had multiple people offer me 6500 cash for mine knowing I was able to get one.

6.5 is madness for a stamp cut 1/24th of a print... And I'm a kaws fan lol
eBay bids have all been pure shit from 0 feedback or small new accounts. So pricing is hard to tell.
I hope all the collectors get a good image, and flippers get a background Piece
I can't imagine someone paying 6.5 for a tiny 8" print that the seller openly admits may have flaws, and has rough cut edges... That's nearly enough to source an actual print from a series if shopping carefully.
Just like anything these days.. there's smart, and there's dumb as fkk.. I've seen people buying at 3-3.5k which I would never personally, but is somewhat more understandable.. it's just tiny and basically discarded turned into gold. Wild to me LMAO

The market has already established that. But these are not editions. They are artist scraps... and the only confirmed sales have been sub $4k. Think we will see quite a few once people have them in hand.
And. While I do want one myself I still think it important to point out the manipulation to potential collectors. Whenever this community can.

So if these are truly fake bids, how do they get around the ebay commission? I mean it should be above $700 in commission

Seller cancels the auction saying he ran out of stock. All fees then credited back to account.
