Perhaps you don't like Kaws? Maybe your card declined during checkout?

But rest assured, a lot of us here like kaws, hate the recent moves, and didn't in fact try for our own reasons. Personally, would I like one? Sure, for a few hundred bucks. Can I afford 1k for a tiny cut out of a print? Not personally, I'd far rather spend 1k from a up and comer and get an original, a great print, or at least an entire image.
The idea that anyone that dislikes this is "bitter"akes me chuckle. While I'm happy you're happy, and my few friends that bought are happy.. you assuming that people that didn't buy are bitter is you being kind one moment, and judgmental the next.
Not all of us value kaws enough to see this as much more than a ploy for charity which I support in theory, but remember he can write this off to. Happy kids are getting help, but the hype is what made these, not the images .. and the prices are laughable at best on the secondary
And yes, I own a Kaws print. PTP.. I simply wouldn't put big value personally a section of a print cut out and signed and stamped. To me it's like a semi nicer show card.
Just thought I'd let you know we're not all "bitter".. I'll take a ton of 1k prints over one of these for my collection and walls. I just can't get over the section of a print aspect... And many I know feel the same. It's a late comers chance, and I think that's great. But it's not a "print" in my eyes anymore than it would be if someone cut up a Jonas wood, haring, Warhol etc into 8" sections and tried selling it signed.

I missed out myself because of the bank declining my debit card for no reason. I was more upset with them than missing out on the print.
You were a bit upset when you received the print because it was not one you wanted, well think how the people that missed out felt. Its not too often people get a chance to buy a signed KAWS print for a grand.
Some on here might never get to own one, so really you can't blame them for letting off a bit of steam.
Most of it is a bit of skit between some of the members, so don't take it to heart.

lot of ppl with interesting viewpoints here. seems like ppl who didn't get one are mad at ppl disappointed with their prints because, well, they didn't get one and would love to have any kaws print for 1K USD. seems like ppl who did get one are sometimes upset with what they receive because they are a far cry from the preview images posted by MOCAD. and then there are people on the sidelines laughing at the entire 'random selection' process because it is surprising that kaws actually signed some of these (mainly that brown one) and reflects somewhat on his artistic integrity. all of these positions are understandable.

That's a pretty poor one, but if you like it, and got it for 1000, well done for helping a good cause.
I don't think opinion (like I expressed for yours) should be discouraged. I didn't go for one, but there are some I like and some I don't.
I also wouldn't bet on the cash cow continuing to infinity in the highly manipulated KAWS market, unless you have a crystal ball.

Personally, would I like one? Sure, for a few hundred bucks. Can I afford 1k for a tiny cut out of a print? Not personally, I'd far rather spend 1k from a up and comer and get an original, a great print, or at least an entire image. The idea that anyone that dislikes this is "bitter"akes me chuckle. While I'm happy you're happy, and my few friends that bought are happy.. you assuming that people that didn't buy are bitter is you being kind one moment, and judgmental the next. Not all of us value kaws enough to see this as much more than a ploy for charity which I support in theory, but remember he can write this off to. Happy kids are getting help, but the hype is what made these, not the images .. and the prices are laughable at best on the secondary And yes, I own a Kaws print. PTP.. I simply wouldn't put big value personally a section of a print cut out and signed and stamped. To me it's like a semi nicer show card. Just thought I'd let you know we're not all "bitter".. I'll take a ton of 1k prints over one of these for my collection and walls. I just can't get over the section of a print aspect... And many I know feel the same. It's a late comers chance, and I think that's great. But it's not a "print" in my eyes anymore than it would be if someone cut up a Jonas wood, haring, Warhol etc into 8" sections and tried selling it signed.

Received mine yesterday.ย At first I was upset I didn't receive an "X" or a "more signature" image but then I, for lack of better term, rationalized... I now own a Kaws piece at an affordable price that will ONLY appreciate if & when I decide to sell it.ย I see several individuals complaining in this forum or making snarky remarks to buyers of this Mocad collaboration.ย Perhaps you don't like Kaws? Maybe your card declined during checkout? My guess is your naturally bitter, sore loser attitude has emerged following the unsuccessful purchase attempt of this release and this is your form of rationalization.ย Point being, I am 99.9999999% sure that every single individual in this group- given ALL the information they know now about Kaws x Mocad, would never pass up the opportunity to purchase one at this very moment in time.ย So please, enjoy the image below for what it is.... & rest assured that it is highly valued by its owner.ย I'm happy you're happy, nice print section But rest assured, a lot of us here like kaws, hate the recent moves, and didn't in fact try for our own reasons. Also, I do not believe that his work will continue to steadily increase at ridiculous %'s as it is now.
That said, I do not see the price ever sinking under 2.5k for one of these prints (thats right even the brown one), thus making it a pretty decent financial investment...if thats what you were going for.
