Kaws • MOCAD Print Edition, by Charlie Bronson on Jun 12, 2020 21:26:49 GMT 1, They’re mylar frame corners. No tape or adhesive touching the print. I ask my framer to use these too. Did you know that they come in long strips too? Very useful for larger pieces or pieces on flimsy paper, like this one: http://instagr.am/p/B8oFJ8JllBQ Yep. I use them on all my pieces the last year or so. Largest one so far is this Abrahams piece

nice piece, nice frame up. just my own opinion: i mever understood why ppl would want to make the piece bigger by adding 3/4 of the actual piece as a perimeter, man i neeed that wall space

Yeah, you can see the mylar corners. Doesn’t bug me. Do you know of a better way to float mount prints? Other than mylar corners, I haven’t been able to find a way to float mount without using glue/tape.

Yeah, I think you are right. Safest alternative is Japanese paper hinges with rice starch adhesive, but even that is an adhesive in some form.

If it’s not in line with forum rules then the mods should move it to the wanted section or to the artists sub forum.

Kaws • MOCAD Print Edition, by Chimpowlo 1990 on Sept 25, 2020 13:30:32 GMT 1, Hi all,
Many thanks for everyone's photos of their pieces. I have managed to source one recently and am extremely pleased with it (will post photo once framed). Apologies if this is a simple question, but what method are people using to secure MOCAD (and other art) pieces to backboard considering there is no support from mount due to gap between piece and mount. Assuming people aren't using tape, so any advice on what people are using would be much appreciated!
Thanks,

And one with X sold for less than $5k in October.
All this doesn’t matter. Buyer asks what they want. If it’s priced right, it sells. If overpriced, we see corrections.

Kaws • MOCAD Print Edition, by Charlie Bronson on Dec 29, 2020 23:18:40 GMT 1, Appreciate all the guidance from the Art Gods Don’t let it bug you. Some have good intentions while others don’t. FWIW I was recently offered $8.5k for my MOCAD print and passed on selling it. It really depends on the image. Having a X is a plus, but there are some really amazing ones out there without the coveted X.
$6k-9k is definitely feasible depending on the image, but $11k is a bit of a stretch, X or not. Then again, you may have one that a buyer absolutely loves and has the means to pay a premium for. Just my humble opinion. GLWTS.

One of those is definitely a 3k usd piece max. There were some terrible cutouts people received, struggled to get back what they paid. Others are meh too.
