Banksy - Venice Stall, by That Print Guy on May 28, 2019 14:06:41 GMT 1, Is it possible to discuss an event without it coming down to money and getting hold of stuff ? Jesus Christ probably tough not to considering the role that acquiring art plays in the art world. Most times you need money to do so. I don't know why people seem so offended that money and art go hand in hand.

Jesus Christ In reality probably not very possible. However this was a set up in an event where people were selling art. So it kind of goes hand in hand. Now if we were having the same discussion about the pieces he painted not eh walls there, I could see taking offense.

Banksy - Venice Stall, by stillborncrisps on May 28, 2019 23:35:36 GMT 1, I really like the piece itself. Wonder if Banksy had seen the Venice anti-cruise ships one, or just two people had a similar idea. It happens.
It looks like as much work's gone into creating the video. Eg, the stall was set up at least twice in order to get the setting up shots - once in St Mark's Square/Piazza San Marco (under the white stone arches) and once in via Giuseppe Garibaldi (in front of shuttered shops). The younger guy(s?) setting each of them up is either a different guy in each location or was shot on a different day as they have different trousers/shoes between locations, plus you've got the old-guy-stooge who sits in the chair for the final shot when it's all set up (wearing different trousers/shoes, again). The order the paintings get set up is different too when the camera is in front to when it's behind.
It's great to see the level of detail that's gone in to making something look so casual. Perfect execution, as usual.

I would disagree that all the discrepancies that you point out make it far from perfect execution. I think it greatly weakens the piece.
But that’s just my opinion. And I’m sure I will be called a hater.

Others have called you a clown, a time-waster, a buffoon (maybe not buffoon but a good one), a masturbator in your mom’s basement, and so on. Carry on, you are creating a body of work.
