I have never seen anyone/artist manipulate his value more than stik. Only selling through charity (tax write off = big sales) auctions to inflate his market value. It's a joke.
He won't but wish I could see him push out a couple of prints the next couple of years and actually do a few shows to see where his real market is. A show every decade and signing an exclusive deal with a major auction house, to only sell work through charity auctions, makes me speculate this guy's value.
Charity auction prices shouldn't count.

Seems like your speculating on a lot more than his value. Where do you get the idea he has a deal with an auction house? I dare say he knows his real market, he sells work to his clients. Which also dismisses the only for charity point. |
