Damien Hirst, The Aspects H6, by Express Post on Jun 11, 2019 23:24:39 GMT 1, Slow down. H4 took two weeks from application to contact. H5 was over a week.Anyone heard back from Beyeler yet? I hadn't considered the import tax as well as the heavy shipping fees, so am weighing it up. If they're pumping these out once or twice a year now, I can see how some might wanna sit on the fence until the next one, but that video Hirst shot at Basel makes these by far my favorite of the lot.

Damien Hirst, The Aspects H6, by Deleted on Jun 12, 2019 9:56:20 GMT 1, ... I would trust posterbob and what he says more than most people on this forum ... ... as someone else has said, if you can't see through his exaggerated posts ... when he makes them, then you need a bit more 'insight' ... four in the queue 🐧🐧🐧🐧 ... ps: I have never met, bought or sold anything with pb ... You can't be serious!
Posterbob has consistently lied about all sorts of things. This is not my opinion. It is demonstrable fact. He has lied about release dates, price, shipping costs, basic info about new releases etc. etc. etc. I wouldn't mind if it was simply due to him being ill informed but I don't think it is. He deliberately gives out false information so that others do not buy stuff and then, in good time, he can sell his stuff to people on here at inflated prices.
And that's not even mentioning the abuse he throws out to me and others on here...

I mean if a guardian doesn’t do that one thing, do they even serve a purpose? 😁 I've never understood the purpose of guardians on here. They never actually *do* anything at all. We get the occasional troll on here that threatens to bring down the whole of the UAA and what do the guardians do about it? Absolutely nothing.

PB lies guide: 1. Everything is sold out. Always. 2. He got the full set at presale. Or multiple sets. PM him if you want to buy. 3. Stop PMing him. He's already flipped it and sending his family on vacation. 4. He wants to buy it, to flip in 3 months for minimum 200% profit.
Not going to comment on the not art related 'discussions' he's sometimes involved in

Damien Hirst, The Aspects H6, by Pawel on Jun 12, 2019 10:28:54 GMT 1, Just to make it clear, I should have put 'lies' in quotes in the previous post. You might get a little bit confused first time, but they are so obvious. I find them humorous, 'SOLD OUT' puts a smile on my face.
Again, not talking about thes**t shows he's sometimes involved in.

I fear that this is not entirely fair or accurate.
A few things that I've seen them do (not sure about the others, but certainly .dappy): Delete spam Enforce rules such as 1 sales thread for multiple items Close threads that are becoming unruly Highlight for members concerns regarding particular sellers.
A few things to bear in mind: It’s a voluntary role. I’ve had volunteer roles in the past, and it can be quite soul destroying when one is trying to help, but receive only complaints and criticism, and little thanks They have limited powers. They certainly cannot ban members. There are few of them, and they cannot be here all the time. As well as being guardians, they are members and should be free to join in the discussions expressing their own views.
The site is far from perfect. But this is mostly down to us, and it is up to us to treat each other with respect and courtesy in my opinion, for what that’s worth.

The guardians have been active in banning me from this site for daring to stand up for myself or expressing an opinion on art and yet Poster Bob is allowed to derail every single thread with his inane drivel without even a hint of action..??!! Hmmm
Is the rumour true that bob is in fact Daniel Silk 😂

"Enforce rules." If only! Numerous posts from various members contravene the rules and yet nothing ever happens to those posts. I sometimes think I must be the only person on here that has actually read the rules. If people think the rules are being enforced then they are very much mistaken.
"close threads." Yes...sometimes...eventually. There have been many times when a thread has been left to run for days if not weeks before it eventually is closed.
I have moderated a few Facebook groups, chatty groups as well as more academic type ones so I know what a thankless task it can be. But thankless or otherwise is not really the point.

The Guardians role on here is to try and keep some civility when things look like they are going to get out of hand or have already gotten out of hand. It's a purely voluntary role and there are no financial benefits. It's a thankless job and it seems that not only are we not appreciated by a nice chunk of members on the forum but many feel exactly like you and think we are useless. A lot of what we do is actually behind the scenes on purpose - it's like watching a sports event when the referees should just do their job and not become the focus of the match.

everyones been banned here a few times haven't they?
I got told off once by a guardian. It was fair and just.
Guardians are ok, if anything its good to just talk and moan about them. I'd love to be a Guardian but I am too much of a c**t to be one... I'd just delete stuff I didn't like on a whim and become all powerful and godlike

You could cart and pay for 500 of them if you wanted. A flaw in their e-commerce system.
If you’re lucky they might honour it though - particularly if it’s less hassle than processing a refund etc.
