Damien Hirst H6 • The Aspects, by Phear Loathing on Mar 27, 2021 15:46:41 GMT 1, Hope everyone is well. I tried getting a value of this on the Hirst sub. I know there is a recent auction result of over 40k, but happy to take offers if anyone is so inclined. I can ship in the original packaging.
Trying to pick something new up this weekend hence the sale. I could very well pull this sale by the end of the weekend of there is not an attractive offer!

I thinks it’s true value is around 16k to 18k 22k to 24k in a gallery who’s paying artist rights tax ect
It’s only my opinion Great piece 😬

Damien Hirst H6 • The Aspects, by Poster Bob on Jun 7, 2021 19:11:51 GMT 1, I would assume that this set has been placed at auction by one of the parties involved, so there is no risk of the seller being banned. It probably hasn't been done by Hirst himself, because previously an additional note regarding provenance was included stating "This work has been authenticated by the Hirst Authentication Committee." It is entirely unnecessary, but that is something that you'd want to disclose to drive the price up.
They already have a full set, in hand. I, like others, am still awaiting the delivery of my prints which have been sat with DHL, 15 minutes away from my house, for two full weeks. Auction catalogs need to be printed, and in my eyes, the auction date is too close to the delivery date for many customers. There wasn't sufficient time to receive them, ask to have them listed and beat the deadline for submissions.
It is a shockingly early auction given the release date. It is very uncouth to auction off a piece so early after release. As a comparison, the first Cage print to be auction at Phillips started on March 23rd, 3 months after they were delivered. I remember corresponding with a few people who wanted to flip their Elements prints immediately after release at Christie's and Sotheby's and were told that they could be listed in six months.
All prints have a matching number. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that they would make sure that anyone who purchased a full set received a matching number, but from my experience, when I've been allocated more than one print the numbers did not match. I'm sure someone who purchased a full set can opine.
The prints are from an open edition and they are readily available everywhere. Ebay and Artsy are awash with them. Phillips has shown no interest in listing anything from Hirst's previous unsigned, open series. A year after their release we still have yet to see them auction off a heart or rainbow print.

Estimate averaging out at between £2,500 and £3,750 per piece which makes the ebay prices ridiculous. Interested to see what they hammer at ex. Buyer premium.
