We all know and use EB it's not a big secret that only special people know about.
By saying I have no impression of the art I was deflating a provocative question.
By suggesting EB as an alternative source of information I wasn't stifling discussion I was taking part in it. Suggesting where more information may be found.
I hope this clears things up for you my little comment facist, if not please ask one of your teachers at school to explain it to you.

I know that there are a lot of crossover users between UAA and EB but from my observations, it seems like the responses in EB are very short and weightless - similar to people texting each other with discussions on movie posters and pats on the back with emojis. I feel like there is more to be learned from this forum. Does anyone feel the same way? |

In the spirit of sharing local art, artists, and shows here are some pics from Hebru Brantley's second solo show with Vertical Gallery. ย Massive turnout last night for the opening. (My pics from today sans crowd)ย
I don't own any Hebru pieces, (besides the print from this show) but personally I prefer this style to his Flyboy pieces and will be interesting to see his future works. highly recommend popping in if you are local. ย
From Vertical Gallery: Brantleyโs pop-infused contemporary is art is inspired by Japanese anime and the bold aesthetics of street art pioneers Jean-Michel Basquiat, KAWS and Keith Haring. Eat Crap King explores the relationship between the two major contemporary art archetypes of Basquiat and Andy Warhol. Placing the two artistic celebrities in the same two-dimensional frame, it fosters inquiries of power, race and the true nature of the celebrity relationship. The work considers the chasm between the two in their artistic careers. Warhol became a representative of the traditional institutionalized art world status, while Basquiat remained more rebellious and navigated the art world through non-conforming means previous to his death.
