Atelier Maser is delighted to present 'Utility', a solo exhibition of new work by Irish artist Stephen Burke.
Stephen is a contemporary Irish artist, currently living and working in Glasgow, Scotland. Since the age of fifteen Stephen has grown strong roots in the Irish street art community, and in more recent years, he has evolved his artistic practice into the realm of fine arts. Stephen has exhibited extensively across Ireland and the UK, including shows at Glasgow School of Art (UK), The Law Society of Ireland (IRL) and The Pipe Factory (UK).
Stephen creates work inspired by our shared public places and in doing so, he diverts our perception away from the conventional ideals associated with these spaces.
For ‘Utility’, Stephen’s exhibition at Atelier Maser, visitors will have the opportunity to see a new body of work which includes a collection of tiled paintings and a steel sculpture that are informed by, and recollective of the city landscape.

An Original Print Series by Maser

Due to popular demand, I have created a Second Edition of my ‘Homebird’ print. The first edition sold out earlier this week in less than 5 minutes, and to say that I am feeling humbled by the generosity and support of you all is an understatement! I thank you all for your support of this print series and for all it represents.
The ‘Homebird’ Second Edition is unique in itself. Each print will be individually numbered and signed by me. And the originally designed type has been transformed with a deep navy hue.
50% of all profits raised from this print series will be donated to the Mater Foundation [CHY9768] to directly support frontline staff and patient care in the fight against Covid-19. I hope you will join me in supporting them.

To celebrate the launch of Atelier Now, Maser is releasing a new ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ print this Friday, exclusively through the Atelier Now website.
This new artwork is a photographic print of Maser’s mural ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ located in the heart of Dublin city. The mural, inspired by the final words of Irish poet Seamus Heaney resonates with many people on a daily basis and has been created due to popular demand.
The print will be released as an open edition so that it can connect to as many people as possible – creating unity and hope during uncertain times.
Atelier Now is an independently established, artist-led space for creativity and wellness. The sales of this print will solely go towards the reopening and running costs of the gallery and exhibition space. Thank you for your support!

The mural, inspired by the final words of Irish poet Seamus Heaney resonates with many people on a daily basis and has been created due to popular demand. The print will be released as an open edition so that it can connect to as many people as possible – creating unity and hope during uncertain times. Atelier Now is an independently established, artist-led space for creativity and wellness. Hi everyone, I’m just back from Sotheby’s in Paris!
My original painting ‘The Glen’ is featured as part of the Sotheby’s auction, which celebrates the cultural connections between Ireland and France. Bids for the piece close today at 02:44PM (IST), click the button below to check it out.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to do an artist talk, where I spoke to visitors about my artistic practice and process while creating the piece. The featured painting, ‘The Glen’ takes inspiration from ‘The Devils Glen’ in Co. Wicklow, which I regularly visited during recent lockdowns. In this area, there is a popular trail called the ‘Seamus Heaney walk’. A waterfall marks the end of the trail, which you will see gesturally captured in the piece hanging at Sotheby’s Paris.
While at Sotheby’s I also had the pleasure of meeting artists Rowan Gillespie and John Kelly who spoke about their creative practice too. It is an honour for me to be part of the auction and I kindly thank Charlie and Arabella at Sotheby’s for the opportunity.
