Some make the argument that the recent big large scale politically important works are his best and heโs getting better and better. I disagree. His identity gets lost in those in my opinion. This box is a perfect example of that and to me shows his greatness as an artist. The sculpture as art is trash compared to that box.

Historically the most opressed have been Christians. Considering the fact that Christianity in the middle east had hundreds of years head start on Islam. There are now very few Christians remaining in that region compared with other "mainstream" religions. We all know the reason for that and it has nothing to do with democratic values. Religion enables smart people to do stupid things.
Banksy has focused on Bethlehem, Christian iconography and got involved in the nativity at xmas with Danny Boyle. So it looks to me his main priority is exposing the way Israel treats Christians, not forgetting how Israel treats Palestinians of all religions overall. i'm sure there are a few athiests living there too who feel trapped by Israel just because they have the wrong passport.

With the direct from artist cost price at 48,000 gbp, what would y'all project this might go for at auction or in a private sale? Also which Auction house would be most recommended for this kind of item? Phillips? Sotheby's? Bonham's? Christies? If anyone has contacts of who to talk to, please PM me. ย Do you think it would be possible to sell before the COA is available Jan '19? I do have the receipt from Pest Control. What would you do? Sell or hold onto it? It's a cool piece but I honestly have nowhere to put it + the box is massive. Stick the hand sprayed ๐ฆ In the recycling - problem solved. In fact I'll come and pick it up and recycle it for you if that helps?

Surely if youโve got over 40k lying around for pure investment you should have some idea about what youโre doing? As it seems it was purchased for just investment then hang on to it until you can get the coa as that will give you your best return.
