People really do have more money than sense! I think with all of the recent news, his market has sparked interest from new (Inexperienced) collectors, who have no idea what is legitimate and what is not. Someone shared a screen shot of all kinds of fake prints being snatched up for 2k ect. I'm convinced these people are just jumping in without doing any type of research. I'm assuming those bids could very well be by someone who thinks its a legit print and not a poster. |

We live and learn! It's sad to see really. For a ten pound poster.

Back around September 2006, I asked Anorak (punk daisy) about buying signed versions of Bomb Middle England, GWRB, and Barcode. These were the prices quoted: Bomb Middle England is £6000 Barcode is £3000 Girl with Balloon £4500 So Bomb Middle England was very expensive at that time, but seems to have fallen off over the years. I'm sure there will be some prints that are high today that follow the same path. |

Weston Super Mare / Bomb Middle England and HAND all have had nowhere near the interest / price increases of most other Banksy prints over similar timescales..
The shape and format of the print does make them difficult to find a hanging space for.. over a bed possibly, but not really that bedroom friendly image wise..
Add in to that that two of the three are very UK centric
Other than that, cant think of another reason they arent as much loved
Just my thought on it.. I think BME is the stronger of the three

As for price now, not seen one come up for a while.. and this started with the BME, which also dont seem to come up very often.. hence the discussion on being good value or not.
