how can we sort people like these faksters out! They are just conning people who want to get into the banksy market at low price. I don't think it is fair to say people should do their research, because these idiots are con men. No worse than all the rest of the people who try phone scams etc. They need sorting out with baseball bats and the like.

This user appears to selling very fake/knock off flyers and other banksy tat.

People have been parting with near £500 for a fake flyer that clearly looks like a blue peter attempt using teabags to age the paper - and they appear to have a wedge of them as they keep selling them...

Thanks for the heads up! I definitely won't be looking on ebay at those links. We just cannot get allow ourselves to get sucked in to this fraudster. Something must be done to stop unsuspecting collectors being manipulated. Don't ever buy Banksy prints really cheaply, they probably won't be real.

I believe that there is nothing more to do for these buyers! If these guys are not able to do a little research before buying and to show a minimum of common sense... They will wake up with a hangover and it will only be deserved

Unfortunately, I suspect that is not real. Pretty clear hesitation throughout that signature. They got the B and the A and half the N down, but connecting the trailing half of the N to the K and S smoothly is the key challenge. They pretty much blew it there.

But in fairness, if anyone will know, its pest control. This place has been wrong about this before, when the "defo fake" canvas went to PC it was real.

Will never forget seeing it in Sothebys 

It appears to be a digital printout on handmade paper, perhaps to try to make it appear more natural, who knows. It's also numbered, and we all know there is no record of an edition like this.

The stencil which was picked up at liveauctioneers is something altogether very different.

This one is fake though, not been an edition published like this certainly not one with 150 impressions. Hang-up have a fairly concise list of his editions for future reference (although I believe a couple of obscure and small editions are missing, this not being one).

You will see I made no comments on the art itself. Given what was going on back in the day, I can assure us all that we have no idea what these guys may or may not have made. There are some pretty sketchy and low “quality” real works out there. That is why they don’t authenticated street art and ephemera.

And there are also botched signatures - missed letters, erased and resigned - with full PC authentication.

But this is different, and folks who look at signatures will notice it immediately. Easiest way to think about it is that this sig was written slowly: the only way to get some of those kinks in the middle of lines and perfect stroke ends is to move the pencil slowly. Which is not how people sign things. Definitely not the folks that Banksy had sign for him. 

Let that be a lesson kids: if you are going to forge a signature, a poor version done quickly and smoothly will always be better than a good version done slowly.

What makes you think it’s an edition? The 05 number is surely a year. Not that I believe it’s real.
