So your trained eye was there that day when they were released? You don't think some may have not been signed? I'm just wondering because I was going to bid on that deck. I've bought many items from Heritage and always everything has been legit.....

I've seen some obvious fakes, but they seem to be getting harder to spot. Especially from pictures online without having a real one to compare with.

I've been buying Kaws since the get go, day 1. Have some evidence before you start slinging mud! This coming from the biggest flipper in Asia. See the thing is about Kaws is I actually worked in Jersey City and still know where you can see some of his tags in the greater Tri-State area? Do you? You may have more money than me and a bigger Kaws Collection which is cool. But come correct if you're gonna talk ish because I don't see any pictures or evidence to back up your claims. Now go sit in the corner ya dunce!
More like listen to your flipper aka wanna be gallery!

err... and you got the wrong continent for a start. knowledge and experience in KAWS work is what i have done for over 15 years... thats why i am not in the corner with the hat on.
like any 'legit check'.... what would you normally do? well, get a picture of a known authentic item and then get the said item side by side and study each line and inch and compare the 2. its not rocket science. fakes are not the same, they can never be perfect to the original, they wont get it all right.
its upto you... estimate $800-1200 why is that?
Lets turn this on its head......Can i ask YOU why YOU think its legit???

Is there a COA for these?
I've had many good dealings with Heritage and nothing but good things to say about them

First you suggest the works are "fake" and don't provide any evidence even after multiple members have asked. Then you suggest the deck is fake because it's not signed. Do you really think KAWS signed every single deck? Look at the past ones that have sold on Ebay have they all been signed? Come on bro...
Then you suggest it's fake because the estimate is only $800 - $1200. Do you know how an auction works? Start low end high....
Since you can't provide any helpful information stop trolling and go to another thread.

Heritage Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ, by elbee924 on Jun 1, 2018 16:14:57 GMT 1, Thanks t-dot. Happy to hear your interest and thanks for your business lucyloo
I work at Heritage Auctions and help put together the Urban sale along we a few others. Feel free to reach out if you ever have questions.
covertshadowops if you ever have concerns about authenticity please reach out! It's easy to hate, but it a very hard job authenticating these works as they get harder and harder to tell. We take it very seriously.
We are all members of this group and others, and frequently vet works with the group. Actually last year we took down a Banksy work due to feedback on UAA, just one of many examples.
We consider ourselves the experts and regularly reject works. We are actually putting out a catalog raisonne of KAWS toy works soon to help with forgeries in the marketplace.
With that said we also ask the community to help us because the more eyes the better. We have over 500 works in our Urban Art sale and we vet each one individually.
Also we have a 30 day return policy if you get the work and have any legitimate doubts. Hope this helps.

Hijacking? I think without me then you lot would buy these items and you would be the ones to be โjackedโ !
Look at the past ones on EBay.... Yep looked.... last one sold for $600. ..... think u have answered your own question there...!
If a girl with balloon signed Banksy print has a stupid low estimate of $10-20k does it ring ring any alarm bells with anyone???

....itโs a hard job??? You are getting paid arenโt you?? Surely you should be questioning and checking every item, especially in a known market with fakes.... especially cus of your certain Massive auction coming later this year with a very well known collector selling his collection!!
And then on the other hand you say you are going to bring out a book to help against fakes.... thatโs a laugh!!!
Here is everyoneโs homework.... top marks goes to the person who posts up a Real Kaws ashtray and the Heritage auction one. Here is a hint... look on the underside.

YES it is totally different from a jpeg! Have you ever not purchased a piece of artwork just based off a jpeg then blown away when you actually received it? Who knows if some were left over and not signed? Get Arsham to fire up the Delorean and we can go back to that day lmao.
What's up with posting so many works on your Instagram that you don't own? Just curious? And who gives a f**kif is selling? You buy and sell Kaws for a living hurray! Heritage said they would fix it and they have a return policy so what's the problem? #KAWSPOLICE?
You think or do you know? err Kaws never sold any work previously in the States before 1999? Wasn't it Lev aka Toy Tokyo whom bought the first figures in the States and then brought them over to Japan? I could be mistaken? It's hard to tell from a jpeg Is there a COA for these? I've had many good dealings with Heritage and nothing but good things to say about them Itโs hard to tell from a jpeg??? What a load of rubbish. I can tell straight up that the red chum deck is a fake. Is their COA for these??? LOL.. have you bought anything from Supreme with a COA? Were you there that day when they were sold? I see you use to own the deck where is it now? Maybe you could post a picture instead of slinging mud? YES it is totally different from a jpeg! Have you ever not purchased a piece of artwork just based off a jpeg then blown away when you actually received it? Who knows if some were left over and not signed? Get Arsham to fire up the Delorean and we can go back to that day lmao. What's up with posting so many works on your Instagram that you don't own? Just curious? And who gives a f**kif is selling? Heritage Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ, by Express Post on Jun 3, 2018 8:10:07 GMT 1, The Jerkface painting has paint chipped off on the bottom right corner and a few blemishes/marks throughout. Not in A1 condition. Changed my mind on bidding.

I appreciate everyone's feedback. Its exactly why we pay attention to the UAA. Its also the community at work! If there are ever any works you have questions about or concerns about please feel free to email me direct in the future leonb@ha.com

Its possible that the photography isnt great for this lot. I cut and pasted our condition report below for reference. Great work. Good luck!
Condition Report*:
In good condition aside from minor surface soiling. Unframed

Lower right corner certainly has rubbing and paint loss though. Thin paint is never good on canvas. Always worth paying a few ยฃยฃยฃ for a tray frame. Also worth checking the pale green/yellow mark below Homer's back-bulge.

elbee924 please have your photographer clean their sensor!

I worked as a photographer for years. The thought that those marks were just sensor dust didn't even cross my mind. I've brought shame on my whole family... haha

Normally some decent deals.. and some mental prices paid. I always found Heritage Auctions good to deal with. They are on the go a long time. I don't collect Kaws pieces so i would have no idea about them.
I remember a few weeks back a user here had a problem about one of their Kaws lots and the guy from Heritage came on here to answer his questions. I think the out come was the Heritage guy withdrew the lot.
