Aboriginal art may well involve lots of spots but it doesn't look anything like this, or Damien Hirst's recent paintings either. It reminds me more of some of the french impressionist rather than aboriginal art. |

It's a tough call - so many do the pointillist thing, I recall a wonderful Outsider artist from the Trenton NJ soup kitchen who did amazing work. I think in the court of public opinion DH would be a guilty man. HK, meh.

Apart from being abstract and made of coloured dots I don't think this looks too similar to Hirst's Veil paintings... although I'm sure there could be other aboriginal art out there that looks more similar.

Although of course Hirst did paint the Veil series himself... so perhaps HK should have done copies of Hirst spin or spot paintings, which are more often painted by studio assistants.
