I very much doubt that people can be categorised in such simplistic terms. Entertaining though. Are there only alpha and beta males, or any other categories? To me it all depends on circumstance and environment.
Personalities change depending on what's in front of them and plenty of men turn into so called alpha males as soon as they put on a police or similar uniform or enter the office etc where they are in a position above other employees.
Al Pacino in Scarface was an alpha male to many when in reality he was weak minded and it was the cocaine creating his behaviour.

I do not think it is realistically possible to define alpha or beta male. To me it all depends on circumstance and environment.
