It only means that Bid-Ask spreads (the difference between what the buyer pays and what the seller receive) at auction are very large (as we know).
Both sides of the trade are willing to pay the Bid-Ask spread due to the value added that the auction house provides (e.g. liquidity and reduction of execution uncertainty, a sort of “certification” value, reduction of counterparty and adverse selection risk etc etc).
It’s finance 101...
