Banksy Captured Book • Steve Lazarides , by drip on Jun 17, 2020 12:41:56 GMT 1, He is diagnosed with bipolar Which he has admitted Openly and effects of this can be erratic And manic behaviour With illogical actions which are displayed by the occasional rants and actions Now seen . Just an observation and understanding point of view before any members jump in and become defensive I truly appreciate your empathy for his mental health. I, personally, don’t care about his financial worth or why that’s relevant. If he wants to sell it and people want to buy it, that’s basic free market capitalism. Although, the American (or British) word I would use to describe what he’s doing is carpetbagging. My issue is really with the fact that he may be selling something he doesn’t have or can’t actually produce, which makes him a conartist. I just want what I purchased and paid for 8 weeks ago. And for the record, bipolar disorder also is associated with creative genius and high level artists (ex. Van Gogh). Sorta seems like he only displays the negative effects of bipolar disorder.... Edit: Even if there are delays, how hard is it to send a mass email to customers letting them know that? This reminds me a bit of when I was a kid, and I asked my dad, why was he left-handed, when myself and everyone else in the family were right-handed. He said that left-handed people were special, and that generally they were either geniuses or criminals. When I asked, "Are you a genius, dad?" - he just tapped his nose with his finger and winked at me. Anyway, 6 years later, he got sent to prison for 10 years and I had my answer. True story.

Well I am sorry about your dad, but that is a great story and I’m so glad you shared it. I also happen to be a lefty and am the only lefty in my family. I’d say your dad’s assessment is pretty accurate. I’m not in prison yet though...

Publishers of what? I got my book; I just haven’t gotten my print and others haven’t gotten their tenners. It’s actually a bit odd that the products that require the mass production and mass shipping seemed to go out with no problems. It’s the big ticket items that have yet to materialize...

Banksy Captured Book • Steve Lazarides , by seanburke on Jun 22, 2020 12:51:20 GMT 1, I know it's only a £25 book but his approach with all the different unannounced editions after the 1st edition felt like a money grab rather than a planned launch strategy and tbh has spoiled it for me.

The very nature of a First Edition is that it will be followed by other editions. Otherwise it would just be "the edition".
If you made a book and it sold out in a day, wouldn't you print more of them?
He could have made an edition of 1000 and sold them for 1000 quid each. Then people would complain about that....
He sells them for a very fair price and very reasonable shipping costs. It's a business. If sells well, make more...
