As regards Pest Control, just another moneyspinner!! I don't know about money spinner. its only ยฃ60 per piece, and i would goes there is a fair bit of work involved, and a bit of a headache for those involved Possibly pays for 1 member of staff. Its a good thing though I really must get my s**t together and go through the process.

You maybe right, not sure its as simple as you say, but I would charge for it though, wouldn't you?

Actually you are quite right thinking about it, I'm surprised they don't charge more, Me charge, I would like to think that if I made their money I wouldn't have to.

Well, it's only for old pieces, if you buy a new one it comes with it. From the looks of it they are actually pretty cool.

Your paying the money for the certificate, and as the quality of fakes improved I think the process had to become ever more sophisticated or accountable.
I only have one print with a COA and one authenticated a without COA... the others, I know I'm the original owner with no immediate plans to sell so should I worry.

I didn't know that. My mistake. Haven't got one in a while.
I feel if you buy one now for 600+ it should come with it. If you bought one many years ago for 75 you can spring 50 to get it certified. Maybe they don't send them with it to slow down the flipping.

Is the POW authentication process the same thing and just sent off to PC or are they 2 different bodies?

They've always been done in a pretty reasonable amount of time in my experience, but as a previous member has stated, mine all had relatively uncomplicated backgrounds, and I had all the relevant provenance to backup the applications for COAs.

but check your spam folder... as one of their emails wound up in there... and pushed my date back 3-4 months....
if you get it done in 3-4 months I would say you are doing great!

(Second owner/not registered in my name/problems regarding numbering of print/PCO mislaying my COA...etc!!)
Whole process from my first email after sending the print down to them, to their last email saying it was ready for collection took 6 weeks.
I emailed PCO at least once a week, asking if there had been any progress this week, how you getting on with my print etc.
All in all, 1st class service, and all for the price of a stamp or 2

It's now been 5 months and a month ago they said it would be sent on the next run, they have been in contact intermittently though. It dawned on me they might not have address etc. Sent that this week, hope to get cert soon. Not moaning, just showing a case where they approached me and it's taken 5 months and counting to get a cert, so patience is key.
On the plus side, at least whoever was trying to get the fake certified was caught out, so massive respect to them for everything they've done, would be nice to get the cert though but could just as easily be my fault on the delay.

"Certificates of Authentication are dispatched within two weeks of receiving payment. We are having a slight delay on the delivery of COAs at the moment but this should be sorted for next week."
