Pest Control have a duty to us to get this sorted.
The scheme is a useful tool for authentication and peace of mind but now that they've trapped us all into it they need to get organised and take control.
Any other business with this kind of time delay and customer service would be on their arse.

When I hadn't heard from them for months I eventually spoke to Dora who said they'd sent me an email a month before... I checked and it was in my junk folder !

Having said that they changed the name a COA was registered in on another print pretty quickly so maybe there's a issue actually producing the COAs themselves.

Whether Dora is part time or not they need someone to get a grip of it and get up to date.
It's fine having a secure system in place to guard against fraudsters etc but those people who need a quick sale are completely stuck if they have to wait a million years for a coa.
And if for any reason there is no trail back to the original owner there seems no option but to drop in at POW which is in no way easy for anyone outside London.
It's messy to say the least and at the end of the day just another con to get an extra ยฃ50 for every print.
I imagine the log jam would get a 100 times worse if everyone insisted on turning up at POW to check the other half of their di faced tenner each time they bought a print and at the end of the day the coa is pretty pointless unless you do exactly that.
I thought things might get easier in the 21st century. Rant over. Wine please.

i went ahead and bought an unsigned HMV earlier this year and didnt bother with pest control. it would be different on a 20K original of course. honestly, all this effort.. how many good fakes are there out there of each print? Does someone have a list of the backdoor prints that were impacted and a thought of how many were created .. how many since recovered.. etc? 50GBP for every print every time it changes hands? thats not going to work very long.. so i'll wait a good number of years with my HMV without COA and see if I lucky or not in ten years when i want to sell it ..

seems like you are 100% aware of the risk you take, that's not naive in my perspective. I'd never do this myself but I think I understand your point and hope you enjoy the print at least for the next 10 years!

A lot of Banksy print owners live all across the globe, we only have the choice to send emails or use the request sheet via their website.. And they never respond!

Nothing, they are just very busy and have less staff.....

I didn't end up getting the COA for Trollies (unsigned) but am the registered owner of it and have the emails to back it up. I just didn't feel the need to pay ยฃ50 for the COA.
