Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by 1978per on Oct 29, 2012 12:31:26 GMT 1, put a coa request September 29th. Got a mail telling me it was authenticated and a requested payment for the COA on October 27th. So 1 month. That was not too bad.
I haven't physically received the COA in the mail yet, but hopefully within 14 days as stated in the confirmation email.

2) i submitted something to them the other day but still haven't had an email confirmation that it was received.... I have the order number it gave me on the webpage, but no email...

My experience has been the more documentation / info you have the quicker the turn around.
I had 2 prints with all background info P.C purchase receipt ~ sent detailed pics ~ asked previous owner to contact P.C about change of ownership. Both prints received C.O.A within 4 weeks.
Another 2 prints had no background info ~ only who I had purchased them from. Previous owner was open about the fact all the past info had been lost in an International move. Those two prints took 10 months. I emailed P.C along the way most times I got a reply sometimes I did not.

You can pay via paypal now which is very helpful for us in Australia. Just quote the Ref: number.

I purchased a "I FOUGHT THE LAW" print about 3 years ago via ebay, the print was originally purchased from art republic in brighton and i was given the original receipt with the print.
I applied for a coa for it and had to send it in to PC , they came back saying that they had already a IFTL in with the same number and are saying that mine is a duplicate even though i have the original receipt
they said they will not issue a coa for my print even though art republic have contacted them (they didnt even answer to the ceo's emails and dont answer the phone when they tried to phone them)
also the person i bought the print off also emailed them again with no response.
I've found a few posts on here that mention that people on here have had prints re-numbered and would like these people to contact me if they have had a print re-numbered so i can confront Pest control with the evidence, i already have two people who have had this done and would like more to get in touch.

My advice... don't give up.
Ask that Art Republic continue to try and help resolve this for you.
Although if I remember correctly there is a history of some questionable prints sold via Art Republic.
Don't quote me on it but I'm sure others can confirm this!

I was constantly on their backs, probably right royally pissed 'em off, but it might not have been a big deal for them, but it was for me.

i had the print, the original receipt, the original owner also sent pc an email. and i have art republic fighting my corner but pc are so arrogant they are not backing down yet. but hopefully that will change.

Its an historic sale by art republic, way before PC was established.
They sold lots of Banksy prints years ago.

However, a little more info from the person who sold it to me about how and where he bought it and suddenly it was confirmed as genuine. PHEW
To be fair to PC... it was a print produced pre-POW and inks/paper was different to others they had seen?!?!
Not a perfect system, as a result they seem to be a tad cautious.

As people have said, just persevere with it. |
