It's a print from... 2002.
'So, after further investigation i can confirm that your print is authentic. It appears it was an earlier issue that had different ink and was of a slightly different size which is why we were baffled in the beginning, this version (although from the same edition) is not seen so often now.'

To be fair this was when authentication was free and was prior to the Pest Control being established.

This way he has still got the original banksy and COA and your money and you have a duplicate and a receipt stating a print number which is obviously correct as the print exists but your holding a fake?
Do you know what i mean?
Wouldnt be hard to do. They do similar things with omega watches. They split them into 3 parts. Case, face and mechanism and create 3 separate watches all with original parts and then sell all 3 at full price and have a receipt which they duplicate to prove they owned a omega from new.

Galleries weren't "taken in". No evidence was provided that any of the galleries mentioned in the thread ever sold a fake print. Some galleries were however dragged in to the fraud case (and perhaps therefore tainted by it unjustly) because provenance documentation attributed to them had been falsified by Champkins-Howard and Parker to help offload fakes. Emails regarding the history of specific genuine prints were also misused by Champkins-Howard and Parker as false provenance for fakes they produced and then added the same edition numbers to.
Let's be careful about perpetuating or lending any credence to falsehoods spouted by convicted fraudsters. They have a vested interest in diverting attention away from themselves by pointing fingers elsewhere.

I once requested a coa for a print and never even heard back from them after their first response (after 6 months). Sold the print to a forum member who got a coa in a couple of weeks.

Had 3 prints sorted in less than 3 weeks in the last few months, no issues at all, decent comms and a good service.

This forum has been a great place and the people have been very helpful so i thank you all for your help

I kind of feel for them... I have no idea how they track all those early prints sold via TomTom, Magma, Forbidden Planet etc distributed in those post-millennium halcyon days... who could have predicted the way POW would evolve?
It does demonstrate how much they've tightened up at PestControl although the system is fallible... they all are.

If so I would say fake. The whole point of the COA's is that they contain a signature - which is hard to replicate.
