They didn't took long on the authentication on my Flags print (The print is near impossible to fake because of the formica paper they used). If there's a registered name attached to the edition that isn't in your provenance and can't be provided by your seller, I don't think PC won't verify because they think it's not authentic. I think their concern is that it was stolen from the registered owner somewhere along the line.
You paid for a legitimate, authentic Banksy print. This print can't be authenticated and may not have been legitimately obtained if it is authentic. I hate to say it, but I think you should start looking at options for getting your money back from the seller.

Buy a print with a coa then not let pest know i have it then later sell it on. So at some pint they didn't know I owned it. This must happen a lot. Pow don't enforce or say you must register your name to a print but maybe they should.

In each case I was able to provide them with existing owner details which matched their database (I made sure I did this prior to purchase as a way of checking the provenance of what I was buying). Whenever I've done this I've found PC to be helpful and timely in their responses.

With all the fakes being knocked out over the years PC do a very good job of protecting the value of the real items. So if you buy anything without checking it out you could be up s**t creek.

PC have never "changed" the names of owners. And weren't even around in 07, they opened up in 08. They keep a record of changes of ownership if they come to their attention by means of certification requests which can be verified to their satisfaction. They are able to then maintain a chronological provenance. If they are approached with little to go on they have a hard time issuing COA which can only be provided of they sure it's real. It's pretty easy to fake the embossing stamp etc when there's so much cash at stake. I recently emailed Pest Control to transfer ownership of a print--and was wondering what the usual turnaround time was to receive a response?
I emailed customerservices@pestcontroloffice.com a few days ago, and still no response.
Let me know what I should expect and if anyone has any tips, or stories to curb my expectations--that'd be great.
