Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by frezza on Feb 19, 2014 23:21:04 GMT 1, Seems to vary massively between prints too......Some have taken a long time. Yet recently applied on a Thursday afternoon and received the COA in the post on Wednesday morning That was when Marty McFly was working there alongside Doc and Einstein, great days. They've left now. Lol true ......maybe I should have just gone with "speedy"

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by mikehaspey on Feb 28, 2014 10:00:41 GMT 1, Hi all
Obvious answer to this is 'ask PC' but I have tried that already. I recently picked up a new print, before purchase I checked name etc with PC and they confirmed was all good. Now I own the print I want to transfer it to my name, I've emailed PC 3 times asking how I go about it but surprise surprise, no reply. Is it a case of submitting a new enquiry and putting in the notes that it's a name change? (It already has COA) Losing the will to live with PC at the moment
Cheers

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by saint on Feb 28, 2014 10:45:32 GMT 1, PS, i've done it a few times over the years and have always had to send in all the pics. They can't just change the name to your name, as how do they know you actually bought the print from the seller?

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by mikehaspey on Feb 28, 2014 10:52:41 GMT 1, Cheers, can do that no problem. It's disappointing that they couldn't just email me back to tell me that themselves. Waiting 2 months so far for a COA applied for, so as to not complicate things for them I think I will wait until I get that sorted before I send another their way!

Are you sure this is correct as the print already has a COA?
The owners name doesn't appear on the COA and they can't (shouldn't) issue two COAs for the same print. That would open a new door for fakes surely?

This can be supported with verification from the previous owner by either asking them to mail PC separately or including all their details in your request. I've done this without issue with PC previously.

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by mikehaspey on Feb 28, 2014 11:09:55 GMT 1, Applied for COA last year and had it in hand within 2 weeks, this one has been 8 weeks so far and still no confirmation. What makes it more annoying is I bought it from a gallery as being with a COA, turns out it didn't have one after it was delivered to me. That's another story we may get into in another thread as it seems the gallery owner isn't responding to me anymore

In that case the COA is not "good enough" on it's own. You have to check with PC that the print hasn't two or more COAs attached to it. Even though you're experienced enough to see that it's a real COA.
If more than one COA exist for a print it would be possible to attach the extra COA to a backdoor print with added numbering.
Edit: I realize the forged print with the extra COA wouldn't check out with PCs records, but it would be a pretty good forgery which would fool even an experienced collector.

I'm not 100% sure as have never had to do it, but if you are the registered owner and you lose the COA you should be able to apply for a new one and get it. It is after all yours, and the print is legit so the COA should be issued.

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by jp on Feb 28, 2014 18:38:55 GMT 1, I just did the name change a few weeks ago. As long as the COA already exists and there are no issues, you just need to submit an image of the edition number and COA here www.pestcontroloffice.com/AuthForm_Prints.asp with all the details of the work. Then PC will check everything matches up then update you as the registered owner. They will likely contact both you and the previous owner to get confirmation of the change of ownership.

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by Deleted on Feb 28, 2014 21:40:00 GMT 1, I've had the same 'problem' with Pest lately. Just a name change (Already have the COA). But Pest did not reply to date, except wanting more pictures. So i gave them more pictures, but no reply. It has been 3 months already and no reply. I even suggested i would pay for a new COA instead of only registering the print in my name, still no reply. Also previous owner wrote a receipt and a letter he sold me the print, but even that didn't make a difference... No reply, no nothing to date... When i applied for a COA a year ago on a different print i received the COA within two weeks... Seems like someone is on a vacation...

Pest Control COA โข Banksy Print Authentication, by waXology on Apr 1, 2014 10:18:44 GMT 1, Hi guys,
So I'm wanting to get a PC for my Silver Flags. I purchased it off ebay (i think) in 2008 and that was that. Been living abroad for many years and finally looking to sell, but as you can imagine the value differs now without a PC. I cant find old listings, Old email address is long gone and I have no idea who i bought it from.
So If i mail the print to PC/POW will they authenticate it? If so ill have to mail it over here from Aus.
Either way any advice would be grateful.
