BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by acaipride on Oct 7, 2020 19:00:40 GMT 1, I just received mine today. Feels pretty weird, it's really just a coffee mug with "Banksy" written on it... Anyway, I've only seen one guy on Reddit who also won one. And you. I've been wondering about it, too.
Banksy did say for most it would be a disappointing experience..though on the flip side it also stated "Solutions for Wealth" Breathe and let that sink in.

I reckon don't put it in the dishwasher after use. Hand clean only I would think. I pissed the wife off massively by putting her expensive mugs in the dishwasher, all the gilding around the rim came off. She was not happy with me.
The lengths some people go through to get out of washing up🙄🥴🤣😉

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by nannk on Oct 7, 2020 20:05:37 GMT 1, I can put up a picture tomorrow Yes, it does say Bansky, guess I'm tired! Also, I'm super happy that it came. I think I just find it hard to fathom that this mug is probably worth more than anything else I own, haha.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by tab1 on Oct 9, 2020 13:01:24 GMT 1, Do people think with the legal battle lost against the card company that GDP will ever restock or release more items? the whole purpose of the shop was to gain the trademark so if they are appealing / challenging the decision I think they would carry on , if not , there is no need to carry on as the sales are at a vast loss and the rest of the items can be released straight to market at market value through bbay

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by silvermyn on Oct 9, 2020 17:26:09 GMT 1, Do people think with the legal battle lost against the card company that GDP will ever restock or release more items? My guess would be that there will be more to come from GDP, regardless of any appeal against the decision.
They said there would be more to come and the online store is still there. I don’t think they’re done with sending out all of the stuff from the first round yet.
Fingers crossed for some official news in time for Christmas

Sydney-based as well? Who did you end up going with? Chuck up a photo when it’s done!

I am also based in Australia and interested to know which framer you used? I have not found a decent framer as of yet. Most haven't even heard of wheat paste?!

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Oct 11, 2020 13:13:26 GMT 1, Will be interesting to see what this goes for considering what happened last time. Anyone got any bets on what this may sell for. I see there is only one bid at the moment, which seems slow bearing in mind the live auction is on Wednesday next... Tate Ward / Artsy
I presume this is yours?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Grillocracy on Oct 11, 2020 20:56:09 GMT 1, Crazy that it has been a year since GDP opened. I think it is safe to assume the online shop won't be opening again, especially with all of the legal losses.

I’m sure something else will pop up, whether through GDP, Bbay or otherwise.
It’s tough to be a Banksy fan right now. I’ve loved his work for years, and now that I’m in a position to begin collecting at 2018-19 prices he blows up in 2020. He could easily make his work available to the masses without tarnishing his legacy but thus far has chosen not to. His reasons are his own, but the lack of releases and limited availability is certainly frustrating.

He just doesn't sell all of it for a fraction of market value.

He’s made his works available on some level to Joe Public, but other than GDP he’s really only done one proper print release in the past decade.
I don’t mean this to be a slight in the artist - I love his work and that he puts his money where his mouth is regarding the causes he supports. It would just be cool to see some of the classic images become officially available in a way that doesn’t require a 7 figure bank account.
