I just bought a Silver Flags and my jaw nearly dropped at the price. These GDP prints only have one place to go --- up!

No other forum accounts matey , observations from the market and around the posters , what are others presenting for their argument ? I also state that I can not believe people pay so much for a living artist that is unknown and that any negative actions that may come to light would crash his market I have 1 signed print , 3 unsigned prints , all posters released ,4 records , Matt, peckham rock and have been collecting since the early years and would of sold off collection years ago as along the years price points have kept on rising unexpectedly if I was motivated by financial worth , just fun to watch , also collect many other artists matey

Banksy CRISIS AS USUAL Print, Gross Domestic Product , by smokie on Oct 16, 2020 23:24:20 GMT 1, Personally, I think this poster is the best of the three. As mentioned on this forum previously, it is the only complete piece of artwork. When I had the choice of the three, I chose Crisis as Usual. (Wish I bought all 3 now)

Hoping for some screen printers technical opinion on this one. I noticed there's excess paint on my Crisis print, noticed when flattening post-show. What's the most likely reason for this happening?
Cheers

Take away the banksy element , if you paid for a print and Over paint marks was on the print would you really be happy ?
If it were around the image , an over layer and did not distort the image it would be unique and more desirable for collectors

Banksy CRISIS AS USUAL Print, Gross Domestic Product , by kwatis on Oct 17, 2020 14:34:13 GMT 1, minibear a couple of thoughts regarding the excess ink and how it could be there.
Ink transfers can happen from coming into contact with a number of surfaces that might have ink on them, like fingers table tops and possibly even a drying rack. But these marks often present as smudges.
These marks look like drips. Ink from a squeegee, spatula or the ink container could have dripped on the surface.
But since they appear to be flat, not a built up surface, I tend to think that they aren't drips that dropped onto the print but were possibly printed.
Seeing as how the film used to expose/make the image on the screens was painted/sprayed by Banksy, the film might also have contained addition markings. Could be test marks from trying out the fluidity of the paint, brush, etc. Could have used the outer regions of the substrate to clear the brush or brush off the extra medium. If that is the case, then when exposing the screens those marks would have also "knocked out" and could be printed. If the printer didn't tape off the screen or these possible extra areas they would transfer to the print.
The location of them would also support this. The top, bottom and sometimes sides of the screen are usually left uncoated. When coating a screen, the liquid emulsion is applied vertically using a scoopcoater. You start just above the bottom of the screens frame and coating to the top, stopping just below the top of the frame. The sides are sometimes not coated as ideally the scoopcoater is smaller than the width of the frame.
This uncoated "open" area are the same as the open stencil areas of the exposed image. If ink is on these areas and a squeegee is passed over them, the they will print.
Just a couple of thoughts from a screen printer.

"Our next lot is an early, Banksy screen-print. Around 300 of these were given away but due to their novelty most were destroyed or damaged. A few do still exist in private collections around the world. This particular one is incredibly rare due to it unique color bleeding in the top right hand corner. I'll start the bids at seven hundred thousand"

Around £7-8k starting price i’d think, but that’s if you can find someone willing to sell a set. Better to look individually imo, Disclaimer ( i have a set, not for sale).

Banksy CRISIS AS USUAL Print, Gross Domestic Product , by tab1 on Oct 19, 2020 13:33:51 GMT 1, Loads were ripped and torn , a few coming to the market with discoloration and paint marks from misprints , any that are mint I would snap up as the suggested amount produced would imagine half of that figure would be mint ,more people are becoming aware of these screen prints . If you look at banksys amount of Instagram followers even if there were 10k printed These prints Would still be scarce as the original prints are out of most people’s budgets
